Description:

Selected experiments in the field of DC electrical machines (all types of

motors and generators), single-phase and three-phase transformers, AC
machines, three-phase induction machines, three-phase synchronous
machines, single phase AC motors, contactors and relays application (Lab
3hrs).

Prerequisites:

Electrical Machines (ENEE 2408) and ENEE 2102 Circuits Lab, They are core
courses for Electrical Engineering.

6. Specific goals for the course

Upon the successful completion of this course, a student should be able to:

describe and recognize the key operating principles of transformers and

electrical machines (DC and AC machines) such as speed regulation, torque-
speed characteristics, reversal of direction of rotation, voltage regulationetc
conduct experimentation on Single Phase and Three Phase Transformers,
Synchronous and Asynchronous Machines, and DC machines, and to analyze
data and identify the characteristics of each type

7. (ABET) Relationship of course to Electrical Engineering Program
