SYNOPSIS
(1) It is a mental and emotional involvement rather than mere physical activity.
(2) Participation must motivate a person to contribute to a specific situation to
invest his own resources, such as initiative, knowledge, and creativity in the
objectives of the organization.
(3) It encourages people to share responsibility for a decision.
Within the last two decades in the realm of human relations, the workers
participation in management has been regarded as a powerful behavioral tool for
managing the industrial relations systems. Workers participation is crucial for better
results in an organization. It helps in developing a technology to resolve and to achieve
constructive co-operation among the partners of production. Participation lays primary
emphasis on the human element and rests on the assumption that a worker is more than a
pair of hands. He is a human resource.
Objective& Scope
The reason for conducting this particular research is to fulfill some objectives,
which are as follows:
(1) To investigate the existing schemes of Workers Participation in Management.
(2) To suggest a more effective system/strategy of workers involvement in the
process of decision-making.
(3) An industry/unit wise comparative analysis within UP.
Research Methodology
This will include a study of different industrial units within Uttar Pradesh. The
research design will be based on the survey method. This survey will be carried out by
personal meeting and through questionnaire developed. The selection of sample will be
based in Random Selection Technique.
This section will cover the explanation of the constituents of the questionnaire such as
why participation is relevant to study and its importance in workers life.
Covering each and every aspect of a worker working in the organization relatively to
WPM, certain data will be collected and then after the analysis of observations it will be
presented in the classified and tabular form.
