9) One of the most significant inventions in the history of civilization was the wheel. It
was invented around five thousand years ago. It allowed people to pull things in
carts instead of carrying everything on their backs or in their arms.

10) The invention of the printing press changed the world because it allowed many
people instead of few to have copies of books. It was invented by Johannes

Directions: Complete the sentences with the correct forms of the verbs in parentheses.
