V. DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS OF RESULTS

We observed from the experiment, we proved that if the Resistor

and Inductor are in series, the inductive reactance is in 90 degrees from
the resistor. Meanwhile, if a Resistor and a Conductor are in series, the
capacitive reactance is in -90 degrees from the resistor. From a graph,
Xc and XL are always on the y-axis (depends if positive or negative).

But if the Capacitor, Inductor, Resistor are in series, you first have
to subtract the inductive reactance to the capacitive reactance, which it
will be y-component while R is still the x-component.

VI. CONCLUSION

By performing the experiment, we proved that the Impedance

triangle is a useful and accurate tool in calculating the impedance of an
AC circuit in series. It may either be Resistor- Inductor, Resistor-
Capacitor or Resistor-Capacitor-Inductor (combination0. The impedance
triangle Is simple trigonometry that uses the concept of Pythagorean
Theorem wherein the hypotenuse will be the impedance
