Secondly, evaluation and assessment are related to the process and knowledge of
our students, but is more than that. The meaning of assessment is a bit different
from evaluation. Most of the time, evaluation is graded, but assessment is divided
in two categories, informal which is a type of formative evaluation in where we
measure the knowledge of our students (homework, exercises, activities, A&Q,
among others) and formal which is summative and graded (test, portfolios,
quizzes). To conclude, educational evaluation is a must especially if our main aim
is our students learn.
