Note:
1. This standard regulates that the trademark with A sign can only be ordered as high-level high-quality steel ,the other trademarks are ordered as the high-quality
steel.
2. According to the requirement of the purchaser, only need add the A or B sign on the back of the ordering trademark (for the trademarks having the A sign ,
should delete the A at first) to order the trademarks listed in Table as the high-level high-quality steel (without the A) or super high-quality steel (all the
trademarks). If the purchaser put forward the other requirement for the chemical constitution of the trademark listed in Table, may order according to the special
requirement.
3. The uniform numerical code is listed in Table according to the GB/T17616 , the end number of the high-quality steel is 2,the end number of the high-level
high-quality steel (the steel with A) is 3, the end number of the super high-quality steel (the steel with A) is 6..
4. The component of the rare earth is added into according to 0.05% calculated amount, the analysis result of the finished product provide the reference.

6.1.2 The specification for the chemical constitution permissible deviation of steel material (or stock) is carried
out according to GB/T222.
6.2 The smelting method
The manufacturing plant oneself selects the smelting method unless there is specification in the contract.
6.3 Delivery state
Deliver steel material is usually in the hot rolling or hot forging state, if purchaser require (and give clear
indication in the contract), also can deliver goods in heat treatment (anneal, normalization or high tempering)
state.
According to the agreement of the supplier and purchaser, the round steel used by press working can be
delivered by the method that the surface is turned, pared or the other trimming methods.
6.4 Mechanical property
6.4.1 Menstruate the vertical mechanical property and rigidity of the anneal or high tempering with the sample
made by the heat treatment rough, the check result should accord with the specification of Table 3.
6.4.1.1 When the dimension of the steel material is less than the dimension of the rough, hot treat with the former
dimension. The round steel whose diameter is 16mm and the square steel whose thickness is no more than 12mm
are not performed the impact test.
6.4.2 The mechanical properties listed in Table 3 are applicable to the steel material whose section dimension is
no more than 80mm; the steel material whose dimension is more than 80 to 100mm is permitted its extensibility
after breaking, sectional shrinkage and impact absorption power work to reduce separately 1%( absolute value),
5% (absolute value) and 5% than the specification of Table 3. The steel material whose dimension is more than
100 to 150mm is permitted its extensibility after breaking, sectional shrinkage and impact absorption power work
to reduce separately 2%( absolute value), 10% (absolute value) and 10%. The steel material whose dimension is
more than 150 to 250mm is permitted its extensibility after breaking, sectional shrinkage and impact absorption
power work to reduce separately 3%( absolute value), 15% (absolute value) and 15%.
6.4.3 The steel material whose dimension is more than 80mm is permitted that it is sampled after its sampling
stock is forged (rolled) to 7080mm section, check result should accord with the specification of Table 3.
6.4.4 According to the requirement of the purchaser, provide the steel material that is delivered in quenching or
tempering state, sample measuring mechanical property is no more performed heat treatment, mechanical property
is determined by the supplier and purchaser.
6.5 Low power
6.5.1 The test plate for the acid dipping macrostructure of the steel section should not have the visible shrinkage
void, bubble, crack, inclusion, skull patch, white flake, intercrystalline crack.
6.5.2 The class of the acid dipping macrostructure should accord with the specification of Table 4.
6.5.2.1 The general spot segregation and edge spot segregation of the 38CrMoAl or 38 CrMoAlA steel should not
extra separately the 2.5 classes and 1.5 classes.
6.5.2.2 The steel material used by cutting process is permitted to have the subsurface inclusion and subsurface
bubble and so all defection that do not extra the permissible depth of the surface defection. .
6.5.2.3 If the supplier can ensure that the macrostructure check is certified, can replace the aciding macrostructure
check with the ultrasonic check or the other method of nondestructive inspection.
6.6 Surface quality
6.6.1 The surface of the steel material used press working must not have the crack, rolling skin, fold and inclusion.
If there is the defection above, must eliminate. The elimination depth that is calculated according to the actual size
should accord with the specification of Table 5. The elimination width is 5 times no less than the depth; the
maximum elimination depth at the same section should more than one. Permit that the separate little scratch,
impress, pitting that do not extra the half of the dimension tolerance calculated with the actual size and the little
crack whose depth does not extra 0.2mm exist.

8 Check regulations
8.1 Check and accept
8.1.1 The factory check and acceptance of the steel material is done by the technical superintendent department
of the supplier.
8.1.2 The supplier must guarantee that the steel delivered accord with this standard or the regulation of the
contract, if it is necessary, the purchaser have right to check and accept the random item regulate by this
standard or the contract.]
8.2 Rule of the group and batch
The steel should be checked and accepted according to the batch, each batch is comprised of the steel of
identical trademark, identical retort number, identical processing method, identical dimension, identical
delivery state, identical heat treatment system(furnace time). The steel adopting the electro slag resmelting is
permitted to deliver in the batch by the smelting furnace of the consumable electrode when the process is stable
and can guarantee each requirement of this standard.
8.3 Sampling number and sampling position
The sampling number and sampling position of each batch should accord with the specification of Table 7.
The sampling number of the elect slag copper: the microscopic structure is two, hardness is three, the
dimension and surface gradual branch, the other test items are all 1.When the electro slag steel is grouped
according to the steel or billet of the identical retort number , the sampling number base on the specification of
Table 7, but the chemical constitution is one for the each electro slag furnace yet.
8.4 The rechecking and decision rule
8.4.1 The rechecking and decision rule of the steel material are carried out according to the specification of
GB/T 17505.
8.4.2 When the supplier can guarantee that the steel is certified, the mechanical property, microscopic structure,
check result of the nonmetal impurity of the identical retort number is permitted to replace billet with steel
material and replace the smallness with bigness.
9 Package, sign and quality certificate
The package, sign and quality certificate of the steel material should accord with the concerned specification
of the GB/T 2101.
