Westminster palace.
The Westminter Palace, known as Parliament is palace where the
House of Commons and the House meet. It is located on the bank
of the thames river. At the begining was the royal House but any
queen or king lived there since XVI century. The most important
feature of the palace is the clock tower known as Big Ben.

The palace has more than one thousands rooms being the most
important the hall of the House of Commons and the House of the
Lords.

In this place they performer important government ceremonies.

The palace includes meeting rooms, library, dining rooms, bars and
gyms.

4. Monumentos.
Palacio de Westminster.
El palacio Westminter, conocido como el Parlamento es el palacio
donde la Cmara de los Comunes y la Cmara de mes. Se
encuentra en la orilla del ro Tmesis. Al principio fue la casa real
pero cualquier reina o rey viva all desde el siglo XVI. La
caracterstica ms importante del palacio es la torre del reloj
conocido como Big Ben.

El palacio cuenta con ms de un mil habitaciones, siendo el ms

importante la sala de la Cmara de los Comunes y la Cmara de
los Seores.

En este lugar se ejecuta importantes ceremonias

gubernamentales. El palacio incluye salas de reuniones, biblioteca,
comedores, bares y gimnasios.

5. Typical food:

The english food has been influenced by indian and chinese food.
Gravy: it is a sauce made with excerpts cooking meat and
vegetables. It is used in English cooking with grilled beef, rice and
mashed potato.

Sunday roast: The Sunday roast or Sunday lunch is related with the
happy celebrations of Sundays with the family and friends. It is
very representative from Great Britain. It consists in grilled beet (it
can be chicken, pork or lamb) with potatoes.

It is known in Ireland, United States, New Zealand and Canada.

6. Comida tpica:

La comida Ingls ha sido influenciada por la comida india y china.

Salsa: es una salsa a base de extractos de cocinar carne y
verduras. Se utiliza en la cocina Ingls con carne a la parrilla, arroz
y pur de patatas.

Asado de los domingos: El asado de los domingos o el almuerzo del

domingo se relaciona con las celebraciones felices de los domingos
con la familia y amigos. Es muy representativo de Gran Bretaa.
Consiste en la remolacha a la parrilla (que puede ser pollo, cerdo o
cordero) con patatas.

Es conocido en Irlanda, Estados Unidos, Nueva Zelanda y Canad.

CELEBRATIONS:
FEBRUARY 14TH - Valentine's Day. Love is in the air! Historically the
Feast of St Valentine, nowadays this a celebration of romance.
Many people in the UK go out for dinner with their sweetheart, and
give them a Valentine's card, chocolate or flower. If you're single,
you might receive an anonymous card from a 'secret a admirer'!

6. CELEBRACIONES:
14 de febrero - Da de San Valentn. El amor est en el aire!
Histricamente la fiesta de San Valentn, hoy en da esta una
celebracin de romance. Muchas personas en el Reino Unido salen
a cenar con su novia, y les dan una tarjeta de San Valentn,
chocolate o una flor. Si ests solo, es posible que reciba una tarjeta
annima de un "un admirador secreto"!

MARCH 17th- St Patrick's Day (Northern Ireland). The Feast of St

Patrick is a national holiday in Ireland, and is now celebrated by
Irish communities all around the world. In the UK, there are St
Patrick's Day events in cities including Birmingham, Nottingham,
Manchester and London, as well as Belfast. Many people go out
with friends, wearing green or a shamrock symbol (the lucky
clover) and drinking Guinness, the Irish dark beer.

There are parades, dance schools and music.

El da de San Patrick 17mo MARZO (Irlanda del Norte). La fiesta de

San Patricio es una fiesta nacional en Irlanda, y ahora se celebra
por las comunidades irlandesas en todo el mundo. En el Reino
Unido, existen eventos del Da de San Patricio en ciudades como
Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester y Londres, as como Belfast.
Muchas personas van a salir con los amigos, el uso (el trbol de la
suerte) o un smbolo verde del trbol y bebiendo Guinness, la
cerveza negra irlandesa.

Hay desfiles, escuelas de danza y msica.
