On the week of February 13 - 17, 2017, we have tackled about Solving problems
involving sampling distribution of the sample means and Describing the sampling
distribution of the sample means from an infinite population. In the topic of Describing
the sampling distribution of the sample means from an infinite population is about
solving the Infinite Population in the given questions. But first Infinite Population for me
is like a theoretical, because in this we just assume, since we do not know the exact
population we dont know the population so that we will write it as N = unknown. While
in the Solving problems involving sampling distribution of the sample means there is a
Central Limit Theorem which we need to solve the z scores to find the wide range in
the normal curve. In this theorem also assures us that no matter what the shape of the
population distribution of the means is the sampling distribution of the sample means is
closely normally distributed whenever n is large, that is why the larger of the sample
mean is better because we can attain the normal distribution in the normal curve. The

formula that being used in this lesson is but if the sample size is randomly

selected then the it will be equal to one (n = 1) and the formula for this is z = .

X
computing the and x.

Step 1: Identify the given , , n, N, and x in the example.

Step 2: Solve the x and the using the formula of x = and =/ .

Step 3: Substitute the given to the formula and solve it to get the final answers.

the mean age of death was 70 years, and the standard deviation was 5.3 years. If a
sample of 60 people from this region is selected, what is the probability that the

Since there is a simple size in the question we will used the for formula of

We shall find P( < 69) by getting the are under the normal curve.

So, the probability that the mean life expectancy will be less than 68 years is
0.0721 or 7.21%.
Through this lesson, I can relate this to the reality in a way of how we will be careful
the questions and in that way, we also might get wrong answers due to the wrong given
that we have written. In the reality when we do not be careful we might make a mistake
Before I end my journal I just want to say that the lesson was not hard to understand
unless we have read it in advance. And I want to share my problem in the lesson, is that
sometimes I got confuse in the meaning of the notation that being used. Also, the

difference between the to the I got confuse which one I will use when Im writing
