Free Reading: the cards were laid out randomly by an online computer generator.

The top cluster of cards here shows an inner story of soul (heart, mind, will) and
spirit.
The bottom row shows a more outward, literal story of self, environment, guidance,
and possibility.

A detailed description follows, but note Justice, Judgement, and Queen of Swords in
key positions.
This triple focus suggests reflection on honesty, ethics, clear thinking, and even
liberation.

Temperance

6 of Wands 4 of Coins 8 of Cups Justice

5 of Cups
6 of Coins 9 of Cups Judgement Queen of Swords

I. First, lets consider the storyline along the row of four cards in the top cluster. The
6 of Wands in the past position suggests a previous success of some kind. Just as
the victor rides here with a garland of triumph and cheering crowd, there may be a
treasured memory of achievement that has given strength.
The next two cards in the row give a possible picture of the current inner world. The
4 of Coins shows someone saving up, clinging to things of value. If related to the
previous card, we can see how human nature sometimes rests on past
achievementssometimes for needed strength but sometimes to a fault. The 8 of
Cups following here shows someone setting off on a new journey, leaving old
feelings behind. The moonlight conjures up ideas of fantasy and dreams that may
need to be discarded for more practical concerns in the brighter light of a dawning
day.
Finally, the justice card does indeed show the bright light of sun rising behind a
majestic purple screen. This trump card indicates a higher principle breaking
through into this story of the inner life. The principle of justice is represented here
by two white pillars of purity, the fiery red robe of action, the sword of reason and
integrity as well as the wisdom of the golden measuring scales.
II. Next, lets look at the cards below and above the central issue (4 Coins).
Remember the 4 of Coins can represent holding on to something such as a past
success. The lower card suggests something to consider that might be deep in the
heart; the higher card suggests something to consider on a more conscious or
surface level. The lower card shows 5 cups, three spilled and two upright. The figure
in a black robe indicates disappointment, even though two filled cups show there
may be comfort available from family, friends, or fellowship of some kind.
The trump card above show Temperance pouring water from cup to cup. Even
though water is a picture of feelings and dreaming, there is balance as one foot is
on solid ground and as the sun rises behind the mountains in the distance. Like
Justice, this trump card brings a higher principle into the inner story, and we see a
road leading to the sunny mountaintops in the distance. Balance may be something
worth thinking about and following, just as in the golden scales seen in the justice
card.

III. The final row of cards gives a more literal story for the outward world, and
requires at least as much reflection as the inner story. Take care how you interpret
and apply the story to your issues.
1. The first card represents you in the story. The 6 of Coins shows someone
sharing and using a scale. The measure you use in giving sometimes reflects
the measure that will be used for us. Do we hoard as in the 4 of Coins or do
we give and receive with abandon, as we find necessary?
2. The second card represents the environmenteither people or events
surrounding the issue. The 9 of Cups is the card of wish fulfillment, displaying
a richly-robed figure seated in all his glory, as if to say, Drinks are on the
house! His arms are folded in satisfaction.
3. The Judgement card is another trump, this time suggesting a higher principle
involved in real circumstances. The picture here is of people rising from
graves as the last trumpet blows and perhaps gives a vision of honest
assessment with the light and freedom that attend authenticity. As this card
is in the guidance position, perhaps its time to come clean and enjoy
deliverance.
4. The Queen of Swords was turned backwards here accidently as I clicked my
mouse, but now she seems to be looking back on the spread with her
penetrating gaze. Her sword also suggests clarity and insight. She invites the
readers of the cards to think with reason and keen intellect.
