Michael Renner holds a German Engineering degree and a Ph.D.
from Teesside University, UK in Mechanical Engineering/Metallurgy
and is a certified European Engineer (EUR ING). He worked in
several industries such as Steel Industry, Hot Dip Galvanizing
Industry, Non-Ferrous Metal Industry and 26 years in the Chemical
Process Industry at Bayer and its external customers. Michael has
over 35 years working experiences centered in the first half of
his professional carrier around Corrosion Prevention Strategies,
Materials Optimization & Development and Root Cause Failure
Analysis. Ever since he worked in metallurgical engineering,
inspection management in Germany and while he worked in the
US (1998 2003), he extended his working area into the field
of Mechanical Integrity (MI) including Materials Engineering and
strategic QA in major investment projects. In the last couple of
years he is working in the field of Asset Life Cycle Management, Risk
Management (Risk Based Maintenance & Risk Based Inspection)
and Corrosion Management as Principle Consultant and also as
executive manager (VP) leading a global organization. Since
2012 he works as a freelancer/consultant in the area of Asset &
Corrosion Management Consultancy with a focus on Corrosion
Management, RBI & Inspection Management in Europe, Middle
East, and the USA.
During his carrier he published more than 80 papers in international
magazines or contributed to international conferences. He served
twice as chairman for international conferences (Stainless Steel
World Conference 2001 in Maastricht/NL and the Asset Integrity
He was invited keynote speaker for conferences in the USA and
Malaysia and multiple times he moderated conference sessions. He
also provides Corrosion Management seminars to the Oil & Gas,
Refinery and Chemical Industry and RBI Courses as lecturer within
for an international MSc program called European Risk Management
from The Steinbeis University Berlin. Michael is a fellow of NACE
International and Stainless Steel World. He published approx.
80 published papers and provided numerous presentations on
international conferences around the globe. He is co-author of a RBI
book and a CEN Workshop Agreement CWA 15740- Risk-Based
Inspection and Maintenance Procedures for European Industry,
2008.
He used to be Chair of NACE STG 36 Group Chemical Industry -
Chemicals and member of the board of Materials Technology
Institute, St. Louis/MO from 2002 to 2006.

By signing the Registration Form, the contracting organization (hereinafter referred to as the client) acknowledges

The client is liable to make payment in full to Fleming Gulf within 5 working days from the date of issue on the invoice.
Fleming Gulf reserves the right to refuse entry to any client who has not paid the invoiced amount in full. The client

All sales are final. There will be no refunds for any cancellations, partial or in full, made by the client. If the client decides
to cancel, the full invoice remains payable. Fleming Gulf can grant to the client a Credit in full for the amount paid by
the client to Fleming Gulf if the cancellation is made prior to a period of 30 days before the date of the conference. The
Credit will be valid for one year from the date of issue and is redeemable, up to the value of the
Credit, for participation at any Fleming Gulf conference or training. In the event of a cancellation made by the client
less than 30 days prior to the date of the conference, Fleming Gulf will not make a refund, nor will issue a Credit.
Fleming Gulf reserves the right to modify the content, timing, speakers or venue of the conference should circumstances
dictate. The event may be postponed or cancelled due to acts of terrorism, war, extreme weather conditions, industrial
action, force majeure or any event beyond the control of Fleming Gulf.
Should such a situation arise, Fleming Gulf endeavours to reschedule the conference. However, Fleming Gulf cannot
be held responsible for any cost, damage or expenses incurred by the client as a consequence of the conference being
postponed or cancel.
