Reporting Officers Summary of Offense/Incident:

The widow would like to report Huckleberry Finn on the offense that he steals a chicken. Throughout the story, there

are a few instances where Huck stopped himself from doing something, because his conscience told him its a bad

idea. Whenever hes about to committed a crime or saw someone about to, he would think back to some of the lesson

his friend or family had taught him before. In chapter 12, Huck tried to steal a chicken thats not his. To Huck, this

is not a crime because his father told him it isnt. His father told him that it isnt stealing, if the person would eventually

return it back in the future. Pap also told him that he can give it away if he doesnt want it. Huck probably does not think

this is a crime. Knowing Huck, he probably wouldnt have committed the crime in the first place, if he think that its actually a

crime. Huck would always think very deep when he think hes committing a crime. For instance, he thought about turning

Jim in to the police, because he think that hes stealing his neighbor property. In conclusion, Huck probably doesnt think

that hes committing a crime. Base on past experience, he wouldnt have done it if he knew it is a crime.
