The chronicles of Narnia

Diggory Kirke and Polly Plummer came at the beginning of Narnia. This is because
they are wearing a ring given Uncle Andrew (uncle Diggory), which has long been

The tree seeds are planted in the back of the house and produce apples were nice,

Diggory Kirke dan Polly Plummer datang pada awal masa Narnia. Hal ini disebabkan
karena mereka memakai cincin yang diberikan Paman Andrew (pamannya Diggory)
yang sudah lama berkutat meneliti cincin itu. Dan Diggory dan Polly yang sudah
sampai di negeri asing itu melihat patung-patung bangsawan, dan di ujung terdapat
patung yang sangat cantik, tetapi juga menyiratkan kekejaman. Di sebelahnya,
terdapat bel dan palu yang bertuliskan pilihan: bunyikan bel dan hadapi bahaya
atau akan mati penasaran. Diggory memenangkan perdebatan sengit dengan Polly,
Diggory membunyikan bel itu. Kemudian patung wanita cantik itu bergerak dan
bertingkah seperti manusia. Wanita itu memperkenalkan dirinya sebagai Jadis, Ratu
Agung. Kemudian secara tidak sengaja Jadis akhirnya terbawa oleh Diggory dan
Polly kembali ke London. Paman Andrew sangat mengagumi kencantikan Jadis. Tapi
ternyata kelakuan Jadis sangat tidak menyenangkan. Saat itu Jadis berjalan-jalan
bersama Paman Andrew menaiki kereta kuda sewaaan. Jadis membuat kekacuan
hingga Diggory dan Polly turun tangan. Mereka membawa Jadis, Paman Andrew, si
kusir kereta bersama kudanya kembali ke tanah asing itu lagi dengan cincin.
Di sana, mereka melihat sosok singa yang sedang membuat pohon-pohon dan
menjadikan hewan bisa berbicara, salah satu termasuk hewan yang bisa bicara tadi
itu adalah kuda si kusir. Jadis segera lari ketakutan. Diggory menghampiri singa itu
yang bernama Aslan. Dia meminta untuk diberikan sesuatu agar bisa
menyembuhkan ibunya. Diggory menjelaskan bahwa dialah yang membangunkan
Jadis, yang tak lain adalah penyihir jahat yang kelak akan menjadi ancaman bagi
Narnia.

Aslan mengatakan bahwa Diggory harus memetik apel di daerah Barat untuk
ditanam bijinya agar Jadis tidak bisa masuk ke Narnia. Akhirnya Diggory pergi
bersama Polly dan si kuda milik kusir yang telah diubah oleh Aslan menjadi kuda
bersayap dan diberi nama Fledge. Ketika mereka sampai, Diggory memetik apel itu.
Dan dilihatnya Jadis di sana, dia membujuk Diggory agar memetik apel hanya satu
untuk ibunya. Tapi Diggory tidak terpengaruh, dia memetik apel itu dan bergegas
pergi. Ketika sampai kembali di negeri asing itu yang sudah diberi nama Narnia,
penanaman pohon apel itu pun dimulai. Setelah itu, dilakukan pengangkatan Raja-
Ratu baru Narnia, yaitu Raja Frank dan Ratu Helen, yang tak lain adalah si kusir dan
istrinya. Aslan membolehkan Diggory membawa apel itu untuk ibunya. Setelah itu,
mereka semua dipulangkan kembali ke London oleh Aslan. Diggory segera
memberikan apel itu untuk ibunya, dan ibunya pun sembuh. Kemudian enam
minggu setelah itu, keluarga Diggory mendapat warisan rumah besar di pedesaan
yang indah. Polly dan Diggory selamanya berteman baik.

Pohon apel itu bijinya ditanam di belakang rumah dan menghasilkan apel-apel yang
bagus, Tapi suatu hari pohon itu terkena badai besar, dan Diggory Kirke yang sudah
menjadi pria paro baya yang terkenal menjadi Professor Kirke memutuskan untuk
membuat pohon itu menjadi lemari pakaian. Walaupun Diggory tidak menemukan
keanehan pada lemari itu, tetapi ada orang-orang yang beruntung yang bisa
memasuki lemari itu suatu saat nanti. Dan petualangan yang baru pun akan
dimulai.
