in Asia Indra is making a very important
and increasing impact on the market
throughout the region. High Specification,
reliable equipment providing excellent value
and supported by an Asian network of 6
offices, over 700 people and a regional
production and spares capability all

AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
INDIA
Indra has won a major competition
to supply 32 Tower systems and
6 Approach systems for airports
around India. These will use the Indra
Automation System supplied around
the word. This single contract is for the
the supply of the highest number of
Automation Systems in the world in
recent years
Against fierce international competition
Indra has been selected to provide 9
Mode S MSSR Radars. These will use the
same model as will be provided to the
rest of ASIA further emphasizing Indras
leadership in Surveillance technology
2008 - Indonesia Sentani MSSR
INDONESIA
In 2008 Indra completed installation
and testing of an MSSR mode S and
associated Air Traffic Management (ATM)
automation system at Sentani Airport,
Jayapura, Republic of Indonesia In 2009
an additional Tower Control position was
added to the open-architecture Indra
Automation System at Sentani
Indra has also in 2009 won the
competitions to supply MSSRs and
Automation to Medan Airport and an
MSSR to Bali
CHINA
The newly completed Air Traffic Control
Center in the Xinjiang area,(Urumqi) is
based on Indras advanced Automation
System. The new system has 12
controller positions, and handles both
En-route and Approach traffic. The
Indra Automation System a state-of-
the-art, multi-position system contains
full function Radar, ADS, and Flight
Data Processing and enhanced displays
for increased operator efficiency and
airspace safety. Can be extended to
handle over 60 positions
Indra has competitively won a set of
22 Mode S MSSRs for China in Nov/Dec
2009, for deployment throughout China
in the East, South, South West, West,
North West, and North Regions
In a major new contract in 2009, Indra
will supply up to six of its own design
B737 and A300 Full motion Aircraft
Simulators for Pilot training to various
Airlines in China
One Indra MSSR co-mounted with the
existing primary radar at the Xian Airport.
The primary radar was relocated and
rebuilt by Indra to include the Indra MSSR.
One MSSR located at Urumqi Airport in
Xinjiang province
Four fully ICAO and Eurocontrol
compliant MSSRs in a compact
portable configuration designed for
easy relocation. These MSSRs were
first used to handle Helicopter traffic
during the Chinese Earthquake disaster
and subsequently to ensure complete
airspace coverage during the Olympic
Games in Beijing. After the Olympic
Games, the radars were redeployed to
complement existing airspace coverage
As a result of the excellent performance
of the first four systems, an additional
Two Portable Indra MSSRs were
purchased by China CAAC in September
2009
Interscan/Indra Australia (a wholly owned
subsidiary) has been selected to provide
many DVOR/DME systems for China
including the Xinjiang and other regions.
Over 300 Navaid Systems have been
delivered in China by Interscan
Macau . Indra Avitech has won the
contract to supply Aeronautical
Information management System (AIM)
to Macau Airport. Indra Avitech has also
implemented an Integrated Tower Display
System for Beijing Capital Airport
THAILAND
During 2009 Indra completed the
commissioning of 3 Mode S MSSRs
at Suratthani, Ubon Ratchathani, and
Phuket for Aeronautical Radio of
Thailand Ltd. (AEROTHAI)
PAKISTAN
Indra was awarded a contract by the CAA
of Pakistan for two ATM Automation
Centers in Karachi and Lahore which will
be equipped with the Indra Automation
system and Indras own advanced Digital
Voice Switching Systems
MONGOLIA
In 2009, Indra completed the delivery
of three mode S MSSRs and four DVOR/
DME systems to the Civil Aviation
Authority of Mongolia (MCAA). These
systems provide for surveillance of the
busy East/West route between Europe
and China
In 2009, Indra completed the installation
of phase 1 of the next generation ACC
for Ulaanbaatar. This system contains a
Terminal Area Control for Ulaanbaatar
Airport as well as En route functions for
the main Europe to China Air Route
Indra Avitech , has signed an agreement
to supply /support the AIM system for
the CAAM
