To analyse the voltage waveform of different signals

Application: To calculate the phase difference between two sinusoidal signals
having same frequency. To determine the ratio frequencies of sinusoidal signals
applied to the vertical and horizontal deflecting plates.
the bandwidth of an oscilloscope is the frequency at which a sinusoidal input
signal is attenuated by 3 dB, which 29.3% low of the signals true amplitude.
Precaution step
1) the bandwidth limitation of the scope. The bandwidth of the oscilloscope
should be wide enough to accommodate the frequencies within the signal
and display the waveform properly.
2) To measure frequency as well as amplitude accurately, the bandwidth of
both the scope and the probe attached to it are well above the signal you
want to capture precisely.
3) consideration the correct triggering of the scope so that the resultant view
of the waveform is much clearer.
4) Users should aware of ground clips while taking high-speed
measurements. The wire of the clip produces inductance and ringing into
the circuit which affects the measurements.
Moving iron type instruments are of mainly two types. Attraction type and
repulsion type instrument. This repulsion force increases if field strength of the
magnet is increased.
