Theyoungengineerhasbeenwiththecompanyfor3yearsandhasbeendoingagreatjob.
Recently,however,therehavebeenproblemswiththestaff.Theycomplainthattheengineer
isaknowitallandhasbecomearrogant.Thesupervisorisworriedabouttheeffectthisis
havingontheteam.Ontheotherhand,theMDisdelightedwiththeyoungengineerandthinks
apromotionisinorder.

FirstEventameetingbetweentheMDandthesupervisor
i) Sendtheengineeroutoftheroomfortenminutes(togoandhaveacoffee,forexample)
ii) TheMDandthesupervisorspendaminutepreparingwhattheyaregoingtosayinthe
meeting,usingtheirownexperiencestoconsiderthesituation.
iii) MeetingtheMDwiththesupervisor.Anotherstudenttakestheminutes.Theyreacha
decisiononwhetherornottopromotetheyoungengineer.
