SCENE 1 - INTRODUCTION

Clouds in the sky with the titles.

Looks down at typography for each line.

NARRATOR
Theres a whole world inside us
in you and in me
In which our cells are dividing.
Its amazing, youll see.

Its a strange word Mitosis - it

means 'to divide'
And the what, when and how is what
for you Ill provide.

SCENE 2 - PROPHASE
Page drops like a curtain to show prophase.
NARRATOR
Mitosis begins as Prophase gets
going,
As inside the cell some new things
start showing.

There is a large labelled cell (DNA and nucleus),inside the

nucleus four pairs of chromosomes appear. "It's the nucleus
- look!".
NARRATOR
Its the nucleus look! It
contains our DNA,
Controlling the cell's functions,
we don't have a say.

Annotations disappear and annotated for each chromosome "23

from Mother" "23 from father". Underneath that "and not a
single gene more" each word scales and shrinks as it's being
said.
NARRATOR
Now known as chromosomes, our genes
have been stored,
23 from each parent and not a
single gene more.
SCENE 3 - PRO-MATAPHASE + METAPHASE + ANAPHASE.

Background changes colour when in a new stage with the word

of that stage.
Microtubules grow and the nucleus disappears, microtubules
fix onto chromosomes aligning them.
NARRATOR
Its pro-metaphase next as
microtubules grow,

*background changes colour for metaphase*

NARRATOR
And then to the chromosomes fix and
from them form a row.

*background changes colour for anaphase*

NARRATOR
With a ho and a heave, watch those
strings do their bit;
Anaphase is the name for when our
chromosomes split.

*background changes colour for telophase* once split two

more nucleuses appear.
NARRATOR
The cell gets pinched - telophase
is to blame,
To form two daughters - both one
and the same.

*background changes colour for Cytokinesis*

NARRATOR
Cytokinesis sounds scary and its a
nightmare to spell
But its amazing quite frankly
hey look! A new cell!

Cells multiplied, zooming out with each shot there's more.
