Professional Development Plan
(What do YOU need to work on in order to grow professionally?)
I want to be punctual on time when and use each minute in the classroom to teach the children the correct things.
1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
I want to work in circle time activities and choose the correct activities that appropriate for students
level. So, I will use magnet number to let the student learn how they can write the number that has
two digits.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
I will choose different children in circle area to design the number using cubes and other to make a
number on the white board.

3. Describe how you can tell if youre achieving your goal (Evidence)
I think its a perfect activity because the children learn to share ideas and material together.

Grade Level: Subject: Learning Outcome (ADEC code and words):

1- Build up the numbers using magnet number
KG2-1 Math (Numbers)
and while board (circle time).
From 30 to 40
2- Design the numbers using clay.
(Addition small numbers)
3- Order the numbers from 30 to 40.

4- Add small number to numbers from 30 to 40

Resources (what materials/equipment will you and Preparation (what do you need to make or check before
the students use? Be specific) class?)

Video numbers (30-40) 1-Prepare everything.

Clay (the different number from 30 to 40) 2- Computer is working and connected with the
internet.
Magnet number with a white board.
Plastic scissors 3- Enough material.

Glue 4- Student ready.

Pencil 5- My lesson plan printed and give it to the teacher.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

First, I will apply the 5es by asking them questions to

assess their prior knowledge. Then I will put to them
the video and let them count from 30 to 40 orally. Then
I will give them magnet numbers and let them create the
number 37 and teach them how to add 2 or 3 to the
numbers from 30 to 40.
Time: 15 min
Whole

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

(high)

Material: glue / scissors

Detail: I will give them work sheets that have numbers

20 min from 30 to 40, and I will let them order the missing
number by cutting the numbers from the bottom and
stick it in the correct place.
Independent Experience (small group activity 2) (medium)

Material: plastic scissors / glue/ pencil

Detail: I will let the students cut the correct

triangle using plastic scissors and stick it in the
equation.

So, the student will learn to add to two-digit to

this biggest number.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3) (low)

Material: Clay/ worksheet/pencil

Detail: the students use a different color of clay

to design the different numbers.

In this time, I will scaffold what I teach them during 45 min. So, I will let them count from 1 to 40 orally. I
15 min

will let some of them talk about their works in front of their peers.
Closing

Time:

Assessment

I will observe the students during the activities to assess their understanding of the lesson.
SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing?
I taught a student a math lesson and its about numbers from 30 to 40. Also, I taught them
to add a small digit to a big number such as 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39.

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for?
The lesson is for KG2 /1
Where did the lesson take place?
My lesson takes place in carpet and table.
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
I try to achieve in my lesson how I prepare a good activity for circle time.
What did the students do?
The students prefer the new strategy I used in circle time because they are learning by
playing. Also, the student prefers to build up the number using a magnet and add this
number to the small digit, so they develop their domains physical and cognitive.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
The students engaged because my MST use routines and the students feel boring, but I
change the routines by using hands-on activities, and the let the students participated well.
How well did your teaching relate to the students prior understanding?
I ask the student to count orally from 1 to 40. Then, I let them jump from 30 to 40, so they
feel happy when they jump because they develop their skills.
How well did you engage the students?
The students feel happy, and all of them understand the topic and be ready to do the
activities.
Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students perspective.
It was a successful experience for me because the students learn by doing and all my
activities it's hands-on, and its let the students develop their skills. So, the students are
learning in different ways, and all of them do three activities in same during 20 min.
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?
I think my lesson meet my teaching goals because the students learn to order the numbers
from 30 to 40 and add a small digit to this number.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
In future, the students can add big digit together, and it helps them when they go to the
supermarket with his family they can add the price together.
What are the implications for your professional practice?
The lesson teaches me the important of hands-on activities to the children and important
to use hands-on activity in circle time to let the students develop their cognitive domains.
