Project Title: Teaching Speech Therapy to Pre-k Students

A. Project Abstract: (Refer to the detailed information located in the proposal/letter of intent)
The title for my project going to based on teaching speech therapy to pre-k students. For my project, I will observe pre-k students, and teach the selected students
speech therapy. This topic is interesting to me because it will eventually helps children over-come insecurities that may come from having a speech impediment.
Speech therapy has not been something I had to go through as a child, but people close to me have. My product will take place at the Lee County Pre-k. I will use
a chart directed at which problems each kid has based on a full letter verbal lesson. Once I complete getting information on which kids struggle with what letters, I
will create lesson plans to help them practice the letter/s they struggle with. To show my results I will get permission from the childrens parents to video them at the
beginning of the year and once at the end of the year to show progress.

D. Project Justification: This project is over something that I enjoy learning about and have a huge interest in. My prior background has been how I have observed in children
at the pre-k with impediments. I can learn from this project by helping kids overcome their speech impediments through lesson plans that are developed to help pronounce words
and letter correctly. My lesson plans will be designed to each student's unique speech disability.

E. Product Justification: For my product I intend to have a portfolio with lesson plans and letter chart. I also intend to have pictures of students working with the charts and
lesson plans I design.

G. Academic Integrity: Academic integrity is important because it is a life skill that encourages honesty and diligence in the work field. I will display my academic
integrity by presenting pictures of my students that I work with. I will also document the progress my students make each week.
