A while back one of our childrens teachers asked
her boys class, OK. Who knocked down the walls of
Jericho? One boy who apparently was blamed for most
problems said, I dont know. But it wasnt me.
We have a great childrens ministry. Each Sunday, Gods
word is taught in fun creative ways. Making disciples
of any age is our goal but it doesnt happen quickly.
The more you involve your children in LifeGroups the
stronger they become spiritually.
It had to be one of the craziest LifeGroup fellowships I
have seen. Rick Jones class had a Dress Tacky party. I
thought I was watching a re-run of Hee Haw and The
Three Stooges combined. It was hilarious. LifeGroups
do three things. #2 is building a caring encouraging
community. We know those who pray together stay
together. But those who play together do also.
Backpack Baptism: On Easter Sunday night anyone
twelve or older who wants to be baptized can just show
up. Our only requirement is that you have received Jesus
Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. I will baptize
someone under twelve, provided a minister or parent has
talked with them about their salvation. We hope to have
this years baptism outside under the cross.
Here is what you need to bring on April 16:
Your personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Arrive at 4:30 p.m. wearing what you will be baptized
in. A dark t-shirt and pants is fine. The service starts at
5 p.m.
Bring clothes to wear home and a towel (hence
backpack baptism).
Bring your family and friends to celebrate with you.
Here is what you will NOT need on April 16.
A counseling appointment is not required. Ill explain
when you get here.
A walk down an aisle is not necessary the baptism
itself is your profession of faith.
If under twelve we want to talk with you personally.
Just to make sure children understand.
Church membership is not required. Although you are
welcome to join Eastmont.
No more guilt for not being baptized.
Pray for Cleve Mallory as he prepares to preach this
Sunday.

and we also need substitute teachers on Sunday mornings
for preschool & children.

We will be going on a 3-day journey of missions, adventure
and encountering the ancient biblical world.
Vacation Bible School - June 12-16
Operation Arctic by Answers in Genesis. Family Fun night
on Thursday of that week. VBS Workers Meeting: Sunday,
April 30 at 3 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Worker T-Shirts
available for $10, prepay by April 30.
Montgomery, Missions & More - M3 Club
July 3 - 7 and July 31 - August 4; Monday-Friday, 12 - 4 PM
immediately following 1J2 Summer Club, We will be
exploring and encountering missions here in our city as
well as sharing life with our Eastmont family. For children
under 3rd grade, a loving adult must accompany them.

TIMEOUT
Student Worship Service at 6:15 PM on Wednesdays. Our
message series, Overcoming Awkward, focuses on how
we can more effectively share our faith.
SUMMER MISSION TRIP: WIRED
June 25-July 1, the student ministry will travel to Dothan
for its summer mission trip. To register, turn in a
completed form (located upstairs) with a $50 deposit. The
total cost for the week is $300 per person. Registration
deadline is April 16.
GRADUATE RECOGNITION
Sunday, May 7, is Graduate Recognition Sunday. Save the
date!! And be on the lookout for info packets being mailed
to the families of all Eastmont graduating seniors.
SUPER SUMMER: JULY 10-14
This is a discipleship camp for students who have
completed 8th Grade through high school graduates. The
camp focuses on Leadership & Discipleship. Registration
papers are available upstairs. The cost to attend is $175.
The registration deadline is April 23rd.

Home Groups: Dinner & Bible Study
Home Groups will meet on Tuesday at 7 PM for dinner
and Bible study at the Corums (1243 Cedric Ct.)
Sunday Night Small Groups
Will meet in the college room at 5 PM. Well be studying
the topic of Clarifying the Bible, an overview of how the
Bible fits together in perfect unity.
Help Wanted
Looking for individuals or Life Groups to help provide a
meal for our students on Tuesday nights. Please contact

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
Saturday, April 15 beginning at 9AM. Cost is $30/team.
All proceeds go to missions. Sign up in the church office.
