Additional Strength and Rhythmical Exercises

The following part presents additional exercises to the first lesson.

it is very important to have exercises to strengthen fingers, in order to give them independency, power, endurance and strength.

the following exercises are organized in order to let the young student to gain such assets.

exercises 1-5 focus on developing strength on each fingers. each of these exercises start from a different fingers helping the students to gain
independency, strength and and power. students should play the exercises 1-5 without stopping between exercises, playing them five times. this
exercises would allow students to quickly gain power and endurance.

exercises 6-10 introduce the notion of second intervals. the use of second intervals is very important pianistic gesture and students should
focus on making them even. each exercises focus on a different set of fingers to play these second interval (1-2/ 2-3/ 3-4/ 4/5 in an upward and
downward fashion). students should play the exercises 6-10 without stopping between exercises, playing them five times. this exercises would
allow students to quickly gain power and endurance.

exercises 11-16 introduce the notion of third intervals. the use of third intervals is also very important pianistic gesture and students should
focus on making them even. the will be later use for chords and arpeggio for example. each exercises focus on a different set of fingers to play
these third interval (1-3/ 2-4/ 3-5/ in an upward and downward fashion). students should play the exercises 11-16 without stopping between
exercises, playing them five times. this exercises would allow students to quickly gain power and endurance.

exercise 17 mixed interval of second and third together.

exercises 18-21 introduce the notion of fourth intervals. each exercises focus on a different set of fingers to play these fourth interval (1-4/
2-5 in an upward and downward fashion). students should play the exercises 18-21 without stopping between exercises, playing them five times.
this exercises would allow students to quickly gain power and endurance.

exercises 22-24 introduce the notion of fifth intervals. each exercises focus on a different set of fingers to play these fourth interval (1-5) in an
upward and downward fashion). students should play the exercises 22-24 without stopping between exercises, playing them five times. this
exercises would allow students to quickly gain power and endurance.

exercises 25-28 use all sort of intervals (second, third, fourth and fifth intervals) students should play the exercises 25-28 without stopping
between exercises, playing them five times. this exercises would allow students to quickly gain power and endurance.

learnt exercises should be played at least once a day. student should slowly increase the speed, without neglecting clarity and phrasing.

we have also added 10 melodic exercises that focus on being comfortable playing different rhythms with different time signature (3/4 and 4/4).
every piece are using basics the has been covered within the strength exercises part (melodic patterns and intervals).
