Hilal Rather (28) better known as Hilal Boxer born on 16 October 1988 at Parimpora Srinagar
is an Indian Boxer hails from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He is 3 times international
medalist and a world champion in kick boxing. He received life time achievement award in 2013
at the hands of Tariq Hamid Karah (former M.P). Received Best sports person award of J&K
(Chief Ministers Excellency Award) in 2006. He was "honoured" by carrying the flame of XIX
Common wealth games 2010 New Delhi India and that it was "a proud moment for him and for
the state of Jammu and Kashmir".

HILALS INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:

Super World Kick Boxing Champion, Mani Olympics (Silver Medalist) 2 nd International Martial
Arts Games, Pyong Yang North Korea (2006).
3rd WFK World Kick Boxing Champion, Tashkent Uzbekistan (2006)
International Professional Gold Medalist (champion of champions) 2006.
2nd Open Asian Kick Boxing Championship Bangalaru India 2006 (Silver Medal).
Mai Thai Gold Medalist (Bangaloru India) 2006.
Ist DAN BLACK BELT in Taekwondo.
Ist DAN BLACK BELT in Kick Boxing.

Besides his International career, he has participated in more than 10 National Championship in
games and sports like Boxing, Kick Boxing, Throw Ball, Atya Patya, Floor Ball etc. It is worth
to mention here, that being a high profiled Boxer he also managed to organize the district and
state level championships of combative sports in J&K from last one decade. He worked as the
Chief Coordinator North India Boxing Championship in 2013.
Hilal received his early education in Srinagar. After completing his graduation he left general
education and entered in physical education, because being a sports person he finds better scope
in physical education as professional subject. Recently he has completed his Bachelors and
Masters degree in physical education from University of Kashmir, Srinagar. He was awarded
with silver medal for being the most outstanding student in B.P.Ed Course. Besides this, he has
also done certificate course in Boxing (Boxing Coach) from NSNIS Patiala, Punjab. Having
better interest in research field, he has published more than 5 research papers in well reputed
international Journals with good Impact factor. He has presented several research papers in
National and International Seminars. For being a skilled orator, he was awarded with best paper
presenter at Global Scientific conference on physical education, Health and Sports Sciences in
January 2014 at Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar Punjab. He has also working experience
of being as teaching lecturer at University and10+2 levels.

He is presently working as the joint secretary of J&K Amateur Boxing Association He is also the
founder and general secretary of All India federation of physical education and sports. Besides
this, he is also the president of Jammu and Kashmir Unemployed Physical Education and Sports
Association (JKUPESA) and from last 3 Years being the President of JKUPESA, he is fighting
for implementation of Rehbar-e-Khel Scheme in J&K state and it is because the efforts of him
and his associates, the Jammu and Kashmir Govt. has recently decided to implement the scheme
in the schools of J&K. Hilal is true inspiration for the budding Sports persons and Unemployed
Physical education Degree holders of the J&K state.
