1.Respect:

Academic Expectations
1. Do your work
Have homework ready to hand in unless other wise indicated
Work when it is work time (not when teacher is instructing)
Start bellwork when bell rings (will be found in the same place
everyday)

2. Instruction
Listen to the teacher with full attention.
No pencil sharpening, talking, or whispering.
Dont write anything during instruction. You will be given time for
taking notes.
Ask permission to speak by raising your hand.
Ask questions related to the subject. Other questions which are not
related to the subject can be asked after instruction.
After instruction, make sure you understand the concept. If not, ask
questions by mentioning which part you didnt understand.

3. Work time
Make sure you read or listen to the directions about your work and
understand them.
If you didnt understand, ask help from other students sitting around
you. If they also dont understand, ask to the teacher to explain it.
If you are asked to help, be polite and kind and offer your best.

Talking to each other should be no louder than a whisper.


Use your time wisely. Put forth your best effort to finish your work
on time.
Once finished double check work, hand in if required, then read
quietly

4. Team Work
You will be assigned to a team.
Within your team you will be assigned a duty. For example;
facilitator, reporter, etc.
No side-bar conversations during team activities, all team members
focused on the task at hand.
You must contribute proportionately to your team.

hand out and work way around until all groups have had a chance

For homework I have hand in bins on my desk

Bathroom use
During instruction time students may not ask to go to the bathroom or
get a drink
When it is work time they may ask.
Only one boy and one girl may be gone at one time
