escription
Norm Kerth, who many consider the inventor of retrospectives, identified the following 4 questions
for teams to focus on:
What did we do well, that if we didnt discuss we might forget?
What did we learn?
What should we do differently next time?
What still puzzles us?
Have the team provide inputs for each area and discuss.

in list Close the Retrospective

Description

Put sticky notes or note cards on the door with the numbers 1 through 5 on them.

Ask each team member to indicate how they feel about the retrospective outcomes, where 1 is the
least satisfied, and 5 is the most satisfied. You can use dot voting or any similar technique to have
them indicate the number which most closely represents their level of satisfaction.

proud and sorry

in list Gather Data

Description

Put up two visuals labeled 'proud' and 'sorry'. Ask team members to write down as many instances
as they can think of for things that happened during the last sprint that made them proud and sorry. If
using sticky notes, ideally use one color for proud and another for sorry.

Have each person read their note and post it to the appropriate place, proud or sorry.

Start a short conversation based on the team's observations by asking questions like:

Did anything surprise you?

What patterns do you see? What do they mean for you as a team?
