Norm Kerth, who many consider the inventor of retrospectives, identified the following 4 questions
for teams to focus on:
What did we do well, that if we didnt discuss we might forget?
What did we learn?
What should we do differently next time?
What still puzzles us?
Have the team provide inputs for each area and discuss.

Description
Everyone writes a note with the most remarkable thing they learned during the retro. Put the notes in
a visible place. In turn each participant reads out their own note.

Description
Put sticky notes or note cards on the door with the numbers 1 through 5 on them.
Ask each team member to indicate how they feel about the retrospective outcomes, where 1 is the
least satisfied, and 5 is the most satisfied. You can use dot voting or any similar technique to have
them indicate the number which most closely represents their level of satisfaction.

Put up two visuals labeled 'proud' and 'sorry'. Ask team members to write down as many instances
as they can think of for things that happened during the last sprint that made them proud and sorry. If
using sticky notes, ideally use one color for proud and another for sorry.
Have each person read their note and post it to the appropriate place, proud or sorry.
Start a short conversation based on the team's observations by asking questions like:

Draw a vertical line, with one side labeled "Hopes" and the other side labeled "Concerns"
Ask the participants to write down their hopes and concerns for the sprint that is about to
begin
Discuss visible patterns in either category
