LO2 - Part D Legal and Ethical Issues

I do not believe that there are any legal or ethical issues with my idea for this advert because all
of the content will be my own and so will the information, if i do struggle with information then i
will add some information from websites and quote it whilst giving a reference of where it is
from.

The Images will be my own images so copyright is not an issue to me because it is my own
image and my own content.

The people who are responsible for regulating print media in the UK are Press Complaints
Commission (PCC) they are a voluntary regulatory body for British printed newspapers and
magazines, consisting of representatives of the major publishers. The PCC closed on Monday 8
September 2014, and was replaced by the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO).
Their role is to regulate all print adverts that are released or are ready to be released into the
United Kingdom.

The Editors Code of Practice sets out the rules that newspapers and magazines regulated by
IPSO have agreed to follow. The Code is written and administered by the Editors Code
Committee and enforced by IPSO. The latest version of the Editors Code of Practice came into
effect on 1st January 2016.

I would be having to read the general terms of what my advert must follow to make sure that the
IPSO will not be disallowing my advert so i am able to produce the advert and to release it.
Every term in the Editors Code of Practice is relevant because i am producing a print advert.
