1. Subordination: the act of placing in a lower rank or position, or the act of subordinating or of making dependent secondary or

When this article uses the word it means that people of color are put in lower levels based on their background, language or
culture. I learned that there are many layers when it comes to placing someone in the education system.
2. Radical oppression: to burden a specific race by exploitation and mistreating them while it being socially acceptable. I learned
that as a society we should be watchful of one another because when mistreating someone based on their culture begins to be
socially acceptable it can create bigger problems for everyone.

3. Sociocultural: combining social and cultural factors. When the author uses this in his article he refers saying that in order to
have a balanced education system you need to incorporable all culture into each course and not let one dominate the system.

some but if they go against what society thinks is right then they arent skillful or useful in their society. This to me is powerful how a
certain culture can say whats useful in a society and discard anything else because to them it isnt important.
