Leadership and Teamwork
Managed and led a consulting team of 5 personnel that advised a 300+ personnel Afghan infantry unit on the optimization
of limited troops and equipment.
Led a 60+ infantry unit during daily enemy interdiction operations to protect local Afghan population.
Trained and recorded the training of over 60 personnel during an 11 month period, achieving a success rate of over 95
percent of all personnel for combat deployment readiness.
Commended formally by senior ranking officer for being assigned the most challenging positions for any
Lieutenant in the Battalion during operations in Afghanistan.
Ranked #1 by fellow officers in peer leadership standings.
Project Management and Problem Solving
Designed and supervised mission rehearsals for 600+ personnel during the largest Afghan soldier-led operation of the war.
Designed and instituted 10 policy directives, reaching 1,000 personnel, while planning and coordinating 10 operations
resulting in the interdiction of $5 million worth of Taliban opium production.
As Unit Financial Officer, analyzed growth potential of four local shops calculating labor and goods expenses and managed
cash fund in order to increase local business by 200 percent.
Negotiated five civil reconstruction effort contracts to local laborers and vendors. Managed cash flow of all five civil repair
projects and advised Afghan contractors on project regulations, budget restraints, and weekly schedules which directly
doubled the local agriculture and farming economy.
Designed and presented a Battalion-level leadership seminar to 150+ small unit leaders.
Logistics and Coordination Skills
Led and supervised the daily execution of a combat operations center, tracking, coordinating and ensuring completion of
the required daily activity of over 1,000 personnel.
Ordered, tracked, and ensured completion of repairs and routine maintenance for 30 vehicles across 9,600 square miles.
