Directions: Using the template below, describe how students could use a blog, wiki, or other website-
creation tool to learn required learning standards in your content area: For an A grade provide an idea that
reaches a Level of Technology Implementation of 4 or above. Remember higher levels (4-6) require that
students assume adult/professional roles; engage in higher-order thinking; and use technology
create/publish original content for their classmates and/or others beyond their school/classroom. The

Brief Description of Learning Experience: As I address the standards students and teachers will take
a minute to make sure students process and understand the standard. As the teacher it is my job to
make sure all students understand the information being taught to them to the best of their ability.
The project will be introduced towards the end of the lesson after we have had much practice with
this specific content. This project will be considered as a summative assessment and will demonstrate
to me that students fully understand the content that was taught to them throughout the past couple
of weeks. This content is very important to grasp because from here on in my students education
negative and positive numbers become more than just adding and subtracting. They now have rules
that must apply when you are completing different math problems. The knowledge gained from this
specific content must be mastered by all of my students.
I will give the students 1 week and a half to complete this assignment. This is more than enough
time for students to think and create a nice project. Students are the geared audience for this
assignment. Students will have to create a blog that is all about negative and positive numbers. I
want my students to show that they understand how integers work. It is up to them how they will
show this through their blogs. Students do have specific requirements that will be graded by me from
a rubric. Students must display the integer rules and attach their video/ audio that they completed
previously in the class to their blogs. Students should be able to view these blogs and get an idea of
how negative and positive numbers work.

Student Engagement/Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): I believe this assignment is
between LoTi level 4 and 5. This assignment requires students to apply their learning to the real
world, their learning is also becoming authentic and relevant. As the teacher I am comfortable
enough to let the teaching be student centered because I feel confident the students have grasped the
information to complete this project. Lastly multiple uses of technology are taking place.

Importance of technology: Using a multimedia authoring tool is critical to the project because
students are uploading videos that displays their knowledge of positive and negative numbers. The
project can not be completed without this technology. Computers or Ipads are needed for students to
create their blogs.

Inspiration (optional): N/A

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Some internet security issues some students
might run into are the availability to upload their videos onto specific sight
for students to have access to them. Some parents might also raise some
concern.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. I am trying to let the students have the
opportunity to share their knowledge with other classmates and be the teacher for a day. I hope they
learn integer rules and have confidence in helping and explaining their thought processes and ideas.
