MultiScan MS5800 tube inspection: Internal probes
Welcome to the Tube Probe Selection Guide program... Version 3.0!
This tool is intended to assist our distinguished customers and representatives with the probe selection process. This guide recommends standard probes exclusively. If
no probe recommendation is provided, your specifications may require a custom probe design. If so, please contact us for feasibility and evaluation.
The information contained in this guide was carefully revised in compliance with the latest "Probe and Accessories" catalog.

We invite you to download this catalog at the following address:
This guide is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1600 X 900. However, the zoom can be used for a quick fit-to-screen adjustment.
Faster is Better - Generally Available for Immediate Delivery!
The main new features included in the 3.0 version are based on recommendations from our most valuable customers. Because short delivery times are very important
to most of our customers, the 3.0 selection guide now recommends probes that are available off the shelf. Use the probe parameters to locate regularly stocked
probes.
We invite you to browse each page of this guide and to select ECT, RFT, NFT, MFL, and IRIS probes by clicking on the various tabs at the bottom of your screen. For
details, see the page summaries below:
ECT, RFT, NFT, & MFL: This page recommends the best suitable electromagnetic technology probe from a large selection of probe models tailored to your needs,
based on your tube dimensions and material.
MULTIPLE ENTRY: Use this form to generate multiple ECT, RFT, NFT, and MFL probe lists from a selection of tubes.
PROBE FINDER: Enter the required probe specifications: part number and description will automatically populate if the probe is available. Regularly stocked probes
are also displayed with their corresponding U8 ordering number.
ECT F90: This frequency calculation tool is used to calculate the optimal frequency (called "F90") based on material properties such as resistivity, conductivity, and
magnetic permeability.
IRIS: This page provides recommendations for probe components needed to perform IRIS inspections. However, an IRIS system is not complete without accessories
such as pumps, filters, units, cables, etc. See the catalog for more information.
Tools: This page provides tools to help you calculate tube dimensions and convert units.
Please feel free to contact us at any time for assistance with your application. We hope you enjoy this guide!
