Some questions to consider as you approach one of the above topics:

1. What does the Tang shipwreck tell us about the ceramics trade in Tang China? Or,
what do the objects in this shipwreck tell us about the making of Chinese ceramics?
Or, what do the objects in the shipwreck tell us about the market in the 9th century?

2. What is the history of dragon kilns in Singapore? What is the history of this
specific kiln? What are their goals/mission? What do they do? Who works there?

3. What are the multiple centers of ceramic production in China? Or, what do the
excavations/discovery of shards in Singapore tell us about the ceramics trade? Or,
how can we understand the relationship between Chinese ceramics and Southeast
Asian ceramics? Or, what do the collecting histories of Chinese ceramics say about
the development of art history and museums in Singapore?
