suitableforcomputersconnectedtotheInternet.

Beforeyouruntheinstaller,youcanchecktheprerequisites(/kb/prerequisites29).

IfyouwanttodeployMiKTeXinyourorganization,itisrecommendedthatyouusetheMiKTeXSetupUtilitytoinstallMiKTeXsilentlyontheclientcomputers.Pleaseread

RunningthebasicMiKTeXinstaller
The"BasicMiKTeXInstaller"isusedtoinstallaBasicMiKTeXsystemonyourDesktopComputer.Theinstallerisavailableonthedownloadpage(/download).Youstartit
withadoubleclickonthedownloadedfile.

Copyingconditions
FirstyouwillpresentedwiththeMiKTeXcopyingconditions:

Readthetextcarefullyandclick"IaccepttheMiKTeXcopyingconditions",ifyouagree.Youcantheclick"Next",togotothenextpage.

Sharedinstallation
YouhavetheOptiontocreateasharedMiKTeXinstallation.UsethisOption,ifyouaretheAdministrator(ofyourComputer)andifyouwanttoinstallMiKTeXforallusers
(thisOptionisnotavailable,ifyouareloggedintoalimiteduseraccount):

Click"AnyonewhousesthisComputer(allusers),ifyouwanttoinstallMiKTeXforallusers.

Click"Onlyfor...",ifyouwanttoinstallMiKTeXforyourselfonly.

Whenyouhavemadeyourdecision,click"Next"togotothenextpage.

Installationdirectory

packagemanagershallaskforpermission.Select"Always",ifthepackagemanagerisalwaysallowedtoinstallmissingpackages.Select"Never",ifyoudisallowthe
installationofmissingpackages.Allthesepreferencescanbechangedlater.

Click"Next",togotothenextpage.

Review
Beforetheactualinstallationprocessbegins,yougetachancetoreviewyourdecisions:
