1. Problem Statement
Page | 2

Interconnection of renewable power sources with conventional grid with the use of power
electronics and embedded systems which is providing reliability and flexibility for electricity
consumption. Integration of power sources and its real time load monitoring involves some
robust and effective control algorithms for harvesting and distribution of electrical energy
which ultimately helps in reducing complete blackouts or brownouts.
Also PV systems involves lot of challenges i.e. Cost, environmental factors, space/area
required, reliability, storing energy and minimizing losses which needs to be optimized to
enhance its use and produce green energy. I think these problems could be mitigated using
proper engineering tools & techniques in taking some initiatives in the research and design.
2. Aims & Objectives
Load management of integrated photovoltaic system with grid being the most adaptive and
progressively developing field. Ive keen interest to cover it in my research as below:

Evaluation of current techniques and methodologies.

Reduction of system complexities and limitations
Establishing a new approach to increase system stability and efficiency
Acquiring desired results by using software simulation
Reducing losses in storing energy and consuming energy

3. Literature Review
To accomplish energy needs, battery backup is integrated with the grid in the presence of
renewable energy source [1]. High speed and low power consumption power electronic devices
has been used in the conversion of DC to AC [2]. A Generation Control Circuit (GCC) is
acquired to obtain maximum power from the series connected PV module even in the absence of
light on some of PV module [3]. Proper Current regulation is achieved in cascaded five level
inverter and the switching frequency is minimized by the cyclic switching scheme [4]. The grid
interaction of PV system is summarized with their different aspect which is providing safe,
reliable and low cost interconnection of PV system with the power network [5]. The phase
locked loop (PLL) and the maximum power point tracing (MPPT) algorithms are used to
optimize the grid connected PV system [6]. Matlab simulation software is used to analyze and
examine the I-V and P-V characteristics of solar module [7]. Incremental conductance method is
adapted to track maximum power point of solar cell using cuk converters also the environmental
impacts on the solar module efficiency is investigated [8]. Distributed generation technology is

introduced replacing traditional centralized unit which as a result reducing deregulation in the
electric power sector [9]. The Enhanced PLL (EPLL) and the Second Order Generalized
Integrator based PLL (SOGI-OSG PLL) techniques are proposed instead of simple PLL for the
stability of the grid connected PV system in the event of faulty condition at grid [10]. An
optimized research work is carried out to enhance the management of grid connected PV system
to reduce installation cost and electricity tariff which is valuable for both industries and home use
[11]. Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) technique simulink model is presented that is the latest
research towards maximum power point tracking of Solar cell [12].

4. Methodology of Research
Methodology adopted for the proposed research work will consist of the following main

5. Utilization of Research Results

Present research work is valuable; furthermore it will provide a new direction and will be
useful for further researchers working in this field. The work will provide knowledge for the
techniques of managing load with the integrated system which is requirement of an electrical
(Power) engineer. The research results will be a useful addition in the current field of power
system integration and will provide new ways to tackle the problems faced by the engineers.
