With my Bachelors Degree in Arts for Children and my Masters Degree in Special
Education and Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), I am incredibly interested in educating
young children to become strong, independent, and motivated learners. Within my two
degrees, I have enjoyed many experiences working with children of all abilities.

During my first placement of student teaching, I taught in a Third Grade 8:1:1 Self-
Contained classroom. My second placement was in a Fourth Grade General Education
setting. Each of these experiences played such an important role in showing me that
teaching is my passion in life.

Immediately following my graduate studies, I became a permanent substitute teacher in a
school teaching kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. This was such a wonderful
opportunity to continue growing as an educator since this position offers a wide variety of
experiences each day. I was then offered a Long-Term Substitute teaching position in this
same school in a First Grade Co-Taught classroom as a Special Education Teacher.
Fortunately enough, I have worked in all childhood grade levels (1-6). Following this
opportunity, I became a Building Substitute in a kindergarten-fifth grade school. This past
February, I was offered a Leave Replacement position in fourth grade.

As far as my related experience goes, I was also a varsity volleyball coach for several years,
and a junior varsity volleyball coach prior to that. With my coaching experience, I would
like to eventually become involved in both the academics and athletics of your school
district. Not only do I have experience working with school-aged children, but also I was an
assistant teacher in a daycare for several years. Following that experience, I was a long-
term nanny for a family with two amazing, young children with whom I have stayed in
contact with over the years.

Throughout my college career, I was awarded the Deans List and the Deans List with
Honors due to my determination and interest in bettering my own education. I would like
to share these qualities with my future students!
