Jai Hind.
We are deeply shocked, appalled and disgusted to read in the press that your
goodself has expressed the willingness of your government to bring to India the so
called ashes of Netaji claimed to be lying at Renkoji temple. After the appointment
of a Commission of Enquiry by your government, and after our meetings with your
goodself on 24th March 1999 and 12th Jan.2000, it is extremely difficult to believe
that you could have made such a statement which has appeared in almost all the
papers all over the country. In the absence of any contradiction by PM0 or your
government, we have no option but to believe that you made this statement which is
most irresponsible and damaging, and amounts to contempt of the Enquiry
Commission. We condemn this statement in the strongest possible words and
demand the withdrawal of this statement. The nation has been confused about the
real motives of the government.
May we remind you that your government has appointed a Commission of Enquiry
under the Chairmanship of Mr. Justice M.K.Mukherjee, a retired judge of the
Supreme Court of India. One of the terms of reference of the Enquiry Commission is
"Whether the ashes in the Japanese temple are the ashes of Netaji". So long as the
Enquiry Commission has not submitted its report on the matter, to talk of bringing to
India the ashes of Netaji, that too by a person like your goodself, amounts to
scuttling the independent functioning of the Enquiry Commission. During your
meeting with us you had promised to extend complete cooperation, in the free and
fair functioning of the Enquiry Commission; but your actions speak quite opposite to
our words. Moreover if this is the beginning , where shall the whole thing end.

The issue of Netaji's disappearance is a national issue and we should rise above all
political and partisan considerations, in settling this issue for ever.
The success of the Enquiry Commission depends on the cooperation it gets from
the govt. We look to you for light and guidance, and not confusion and chaos. We
appeal your goodself to clarify the position of your government on this issue.
Kindly recall our meeting on 12th Jan.2000, where I raised the issue of shifting the
office of the Commission from Calcutta to New Delhi, your goodself also agreed in
principle to look into the matter. I am taking this opportunity to request you to take
immediate steps to shift the office of the Commission from Calcutta to New Delhi. So
that, the activities of the Commission would be more smooth and useful.
Thanking you,
In anticipation,
Sincerely yours,

Hon. Prime Minister of India,
-8 APR 701
Through The Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj
Respected Sir,
'
We, in tune with millions of Indian people, express our heart felt gratitude and thanks to the-
Government led by hon. Sri Atal Behari Vajpayee for taking the strong and sensuous decision of forming the Third Enquiry
Commission to unfold the mystery of disappearance of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the most revered personality
in the history of Indian freedom movement.
Shah Nawaz Commission and Khosla Commission set up for the same purpose
by Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and his daughter, Mrs. Indira Gandhi respectively had failed invariably to fulfil the desires and
aspirations of the people of India to the extent that it was reasonably felt that both the Commissions were premonitored
and meant only to justify and establish the 'popular aircrash story' as factual truth. In this context, we would take the
opportunity to quote Sri Suresh Chandra Bose, one of the three members of
"It appears that from all that has transpired during the pendency of this enquiry, that after getting
Netaji's death confirmed by the committee, the ultimate object of the Government is to bring those 'Ashes' from
Tokyo as 'Netaji's Ashes'." (Dissentient Report, Second Edition, Page 41
The same statement is applicable to Khosla Commission, too. For your kind information, it would not be out of
context to mention that The Amrita Bazar Patrika of Calcutta published a report on 15 April, 1962 that some American
Forensic Experts had proved that 'The Ashes' kept in Renkoji temple, Japan are not of any human being but are probably
of a dog or a similar animal.
To believe that Netaji was alive even after "The crash" in 1945 is not without sufficient reasons. His voice had
been heard on Radio several times after the "said crash" and it is on record that on December 19, 1945, one such Radio
"This is Radio Manchuria, Subhash Bose speaking. We are under the shelter of one of the great powers
of the World................... We are sure to be successful within two years. I will go to India on the crest of a third
World War and sit in judgement upon those who am trying rny officers and my rnen at Red Fort."
In Calcutta, Netaji's Radio speeches were heard on not less than three occasions in the months of December 1945
& January and February 1946. Not only in India but also in many other parts of the World, his Radio speeches were heard.
Further more, in 1994, a research team from The Asiatic Society of Calcutta while at research in Russia on Indo-
Soviet relationship during the period from 1917 to 1947, obtained sufficient conclusive clues to opine that Bose had been
in Russia even in the year, 1946. a researcher from the team sought permission and help from the then
Government of India to carry on the investigative activities in this matter but the request surprisingly was not only denied
but also any such attempt was ironically discouraged.
During the terrible phase of the Indian freedom movement, the British Imperialists resorted to 'Agency Politics' so
as to sabotage the nationalist movement from within and later on being compelled to leave the subcontinent, they transferred
the administrative power to those agents who and whose successors, obviously, were not interested in solving the "Mystery
of Netaji's Disappearance" and hence, no sincere effort was made, ever. On the contrary, ill attempts were made to close
the chapter by bringing 'The Ashes' from Japan and confirming it as 'Netaji's Ashes'. Hence, the reports had been stuffed
with contradictory statements and controversial witnesses so as to mask the ill intentions of the earlier commissions.

Moreover, the wealth belonging to Azad Hind Bank still remains untraced. the professor and
researcher was told by Col. Hugh bye (A British Millitary Intelligence Officer during the second World War and the writer
of the book, "The Springing Tiger".) that the latter had himself handed over huge amount of wealth to Pandit Jawahar
Lal Nehru, the whereabouts of which is still not known. The world knows that, in response to Netaji's Call, thousands
of Indians and non-resident Indians had donated their whole lives' earnings for their motherland's freedom movement. Hence,
in addition to unfolding of the mystery of disappearance of Netaji, we also demand for an inquiry into the vanished
property of the Azad Hind Bank which invariably belongs to the nation, not to any particular person.
We nourish this hope in our heart that the Central Government under the leadership of Sri Atal Behari Vajpayee
would extend a helping hand by providing all the related documents to the Third Enquiry Commission formed by the
previous Government and at the same time, would also request the countries related to the matter to cooperate with The
Commission by allowing the Commission to see and use the various documents at their disposal so that the mystery could
be unfolded.
We have the strong belief that an honest exercise of power by the central Government will invariably unveil the
greatest mystery of the 20th century and establish the truth in its actual footings. And for this act of sincerity, we, alongwith
millions of Indian people, would be thankful to the Government, forever.
JAI HIND !
