The prayer of faith moves the hand of God. It
brings God present on the scene of your circum-
stances. The prayer of faith works, but it doesn’t
work unless you’re praying it according to the
rules that are laid down in the Word of God. You
need to know that so you can know whether you
are, in fact, praying the prayer of faith. Now, let’s
find out what the prayer of faith is. Turn to Mark
11:24. Jesus is speaking and He says:
“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you
ask when you pray, believe that you receive them,
and you will have them.”

is the prayer of faith. The prayer of faith is pri-

marily a prayer you pray for you. It is primarily a
petition kind of prayer. A petition prayer is a
prayer where you’re asking God for something
for you, or asking Him to do something for you.
In Mark 11:24 Jesus says:
“Therefore I say to YOU, whatever things YOU ask when
YOU pray, believe that YOU receive them, and YOU will have
them.
He didn’t say, “…whatever things you ask when you pray,
believe that SHE receives them, and SHE will have them.” There
are other kinds of prayers that you pray when you’re praying for
someone else, but we’re talking about the prayer of faith and how it
works for you. Now look at Matthew 21:21-22:
21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to YOU, if YOU have
faith and do not doubt, YOU will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also
if YOU say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.
22 “And whatever things YOU ask in prayer, believing, YOU will receive.”
That means that if I ask for a brown car I’m not going to get a
green one. If I got a green one then God didn’t answer my prayer,
because He told me that whatever I
ask, believing, I’ll have that. If I didn’t
get that, then apparently God didn’t
answer that prayer. If He didn’t
answer, then He violated His own
Word because He said whatever I ask
that’s what I’m going to get. He never
said, “whatever things you ask when
you pray, believe that you receive them,
and you’ll get something like that, or
something that resembles that, or
something that’s closely associated
with that.” No, He said, whatever you
ask for you’ll get that.
Let’s return to Mark 11, and let’s
look at something else about the prayer
of faith.
“Therefore I say to you, whatever
things you ask when you pray, believe
that you receive them, and you will
have them.”
Take special notice of the word
believe. All people who are not
Christians, and too many who are
Christians, are bound by their senses. And I can understand why,
because all that we’ve learned through our educational processes
have been through our senses. We relate to the universe and the
environment around us through our senses, and there’s nothing
wrong with that. You have to live in the physical
world. But the world of God is a world of the spirit.
Price You’ve got to get your petition into the world of the
spirit first, and then it comes back and affects the
world of the physical. But what happens is so many
Christians try to move in the physical first to cause something
to happen in the spiritual. They never get to the spiritual
because they’re bound by the physical, and they allow the
physical to dictate to them, to tell them where they are
with God.

Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee
Jesus wasn’t around to stop the wind. But, we boarded anyway. What
a ride. The winds continued to gain strength and the waves got even big-
ger. The goal was to get out in the middle of the Sea, stop the engines
and for Apostle Price to teach for about 30 minutes. He taught a differ-
ent message than the traditional Jesus walked on the water, Luke 5:1-7.
It was almost as well received as getting off the boat was shortly there-
after. This time we disembarked at a new location, a pier near
Capernaum.
From here we boarded our busses and headed back to Tabgha, this
time to see the sight of the teaching of the loaves and fishes.
Day 4
For our first stop, we had quite a drive from the hotel to the Peace
Overlook. This location has a complete view of the entire Sea of Galilee.
The view is breathtaking. The guides tell us of the strategic importance

advantage to bombard the Jewish settlers below at will. From there we
traversed almost the entire Golan, past

and down the northern Golan to the valley
and lunch. After lunch we backtracked a
little, past Tel Dan, one of the sources of
the Jordan River to Caesarea Philipi,
another source of the Jordan River.
Day 5
During our last day in Galilee, we
stopped at the Jordan River. Six year old

This is the place where Gideon gathered his men before fighting the

Galilee. We then drove along the Israel-Jordan border, past military
outposts, farms, barbed wire and small settlements, both Israeli and
Palestinian. We drove through the West Bank and past Jericho, which
was blocked off. We then continued to the Dead Sea and the caves at
Qumran. From there it was up to Jerusalem.
Day 6
Our first stop was the Mount of Olives. While on the mount, we
take in the awesome, almost 180 degree view of new and old
Jerusalem and take a bunch of photos as well as our group photo
with Jerusalem in the background.
From there we walked down the Mount of Olives as Jesus did to

the Garden of Gethsemane. This is better known as the Palm
Sunday walk. It is a tricky, steep walk downhill that would have
been better made from the back of a colt of a donkey. Once there,
Apostle Price taught a short message on the fact that Jesus had to die
spiritually in the Garden of Gethsemane in preparation for Him to die
physically later on.
Then we walked down from the Mount of Olives into the portion
of the garden adjacent to the Church of All Nations, officially named the
Basilica of the Agony. The Catholic Church enshrines a section of
stone in the Garden of Gethsemane that where Jesus prayed on the
night of his arrest.
From here we travel to Bethlehem. Due to the situation in the
Middle East, it is off limits to our Israeli guides, but not our Palestinian
drivers. The guides disembark at the checkpoint and we continue on
our own to our first stop, the Three Arches for some long awaited shop-
ping. After we shopped until we dropped (dropped lots of money) we
head to the Canawati’s restaurant for lunch. It’s a first-class operation
that can handle hundreds of tourists at a single sitting and do
so in clean, air conditioned comfort. The fare for the day is a
myriad of Middle Eastern delights including olives, hum-
mus, egg plant, freshly made pita bread, salads and the
main course, kabob chicken, lamb and beef with french
fries no less.
After lunch, it’s off to the Shepherds Field, approximately 2
km to the east of Bethlehem near the village of Beit Sahour, where
one of the most sacred places to us Christians; is found. The
Shepherds Field is identified as the scene where the Angel of the Lord
visited the shepherds and informed them of Jesus' birth; Then we went
to the Church of the Nativity. Inside the Catholic Church, there is a
grotto below and behind the altar where Jesus was born.
Day 7
Day seven of the tour took us us to a location that has no biblical sig-
nificance, but was nevertheless spectacular, Masada. We get there by
descending Jerusalem by bus, back to the road we took to Qumran, past
Qumran, along the Dead Sea almost to Eilat. Here we find a modern
day oasis in the middle of nowhere that is now a national
park.
Subsequently, we leave Masada and continue even fur-
ther south towards the Red Sea for lunch. The nice thing
about that location was its closeness to its Dead Sea beach.
Afterwards, we head back to the busses and our next
stop, Ein Gedi. Ein Gedi is a water-resonant oasis on

I sn’t it a good idea, some may ask, to give kids
condoms just in case? After all, with two-
thirds of all who contract HIV/AIDS doing
so before they’re twenty-five, isn’t it better to pro-
tect children by giving them an alternative to absti-
nence?
My answer is a resounding no! Clear guide-
lines are much more effective than the best-intend-
ed mixed message.
Prom was around the corner. After a rocky
freshman year that resulted in a change of high
schools, La Nej was now focused and doing well
in her classes. With plans to attend a Christian col-
lege solidly in line, we relaxed and enjoyed the
excitement of La Nej’s high school graduation.
Well, Irving didn’t really relax. He scrutinized
every young man who asked La Nej to the prom.
He met each one—seven requests in all—and said
no to every one!
“But why, Daddy?” The dinner table conver-
sations seemed to go on forever. Irving would
explain that there was something he didn’t trust
about one boy, or that he didn’t like the attitude of
the other, and on and on it went. Throughout
these discussions I was silent. I didn’t perceive
what my husband did, but I trusted him, and so
did his daughter.
The prom was now three weeks away, and La
Nej still had no date. “If push comes to a shove, I’ll
take you myself,” he said. And that was that.
What amazed me most throughout this entire
process was my child’s attitude. I kept expecting
her to become belligerent, insistent, or rebellious,
but she didn’t. With every boy her father rejected,
she asked why but never argued the point once he
gave his explanation. She showed no anger or ani-
mosity, and there was no tension in our home.
Meanwhile, at the university where I taught,
graduation was approaching. One of the young
women I mentored, Jerilyn, was graduating, and
her family was flying from Tennessee to Los
Angeles for the ceremony. During the week of
graduation everyone came to our home for din-
ner—Jerilyn, her parents, sister, and brother. What
a side-splitting evening we had, trading stories and
telling family jokes!
When they left, Irving said to me, “I’d trust
Jeremy with my daughter.” Jeremy had just com-
pleted his freshman year in college and had come
home in time to join his family on the trip to Los
Angeles. His character testified of his relationship
with Jesus Christ and spoke volumes of his
upbringing in a fine Christian home. Irving called
Jeremy’s dad the next day and asked if Jeremy
could remain in Los Angeles to escort La Nej to
the prom, which now was just days away. The
answer was yes.
Irving took Jeremy to rent a tuxedo and a car
while La Nej and I shopped for a dress. “You can
pick out any dress you like,” I told her. “I don’t care

how expensive it is.” Because her attitude through-
out the entire search for a prom date had been so
gracious, we wanted her to have the best of every-
thing. And I relied on her wisdom not to break the
bank!
It didn’t take long for us to find an adorable,
above-the-knee, sleeveless red dress. We were
caught in a whirlwind of visiting the hair and nail
salon, shopping for shoes and makeup, and hunt-
ing for the perfect earrings.
After a picture-taking send-off, the house
seemed empty and so very, very quiet. I assumed
that Irving would wait up for his daughter to come
home, and I was prepared to sit up with him.
But Irving went to bed. Confident that La
Nej was in good hands, he slept peacefully. And so
did I.
The next day La Nej and Jeremy told us how
much fun they had at the prom, and they joined
some schoolmates that day for a trip to
Disneyland. There they learned that prom night
wasn’t as much fun for everyone—the pressure of
the sexual rites of passage left its disappointing
tears on many a cheek.
Today La Nej and Jeremy remain friends.
Jeremy is now married and recently celebrated the
birth of his daughter. Prom night was special for
him, too. He didn’t go to his own high school
prom because of his parents’ strong Christian con-
viction and desire to protect their son from the
pressures of his peers. So for Jeremy, La Nej’s
prom night was a dream come true. Isn’t it amaz-
ing how God honors his children when they are
obedient?
We must protect our children by setting clear
standards in our home. And, we must pray with
our children, and talk with them. When parents
don’t communicate they are still sending mes-
sages—silent as they may be.
With sexual activity, studies show that par-
ents’ attitudes impact their sons’ decisions about
whether or not to become sexually active. For
girls, studies show that early sexual activity is relat-
ed to a breakdown in parental communication.
Children raised in a godly environment real-
ize that as they are obedient to God’s Word, it will
sustain them, guide them, and give them wisdom
to make right decisions. This doesn’t mean they
will be perfect and not make mistakes, but it does
mean that they will be aware of laws that exist out-
side themselves and for their own good.
Herein lies the difference between the camp
that would offer contraceptives to kids and teach
kids that they have a choice of alternative lifestyles
versus teaching them that there are absolutes
about which they are to make the right decisions.
This difference is philosophically at the core of our
argument, and it is evident in the language we use.
The difference is God.
WHEN CHILDREN CHOOSE
When children choose, they are selecting from
the many options presented to them. It’s as if we’re
telling them that any choice they make is fine and
that all choices are equal. But children are not
equipped to make such choices. Neither are they
equipped to decide whether or not they will be sex-
ually pure.
Why? They do not have all of the facts to
make a sound judgment. Therefore, it is our
responsibility as adults who do have all of the facts
not to present our children with a host of options
or choices, but to present them with an absolute to
which we expect them to adhere. When they are
mature enough to make decisions, we expect them
to make the right decision.
In schools today, our children are given choic-
es that wreak havoc on themselves, their families,
their communities, and their country. Condom
availability is a choice that should not be presented
to our kids.

Our children trust us to guard their well-
being, to guide their lives, to teach them right
from wrong. We say, “This is the correct way to
spell.” “That is the right way to multiply.” “One
plus one does not equal three. That is wrong.”
Once we present children with options, is it
unrealistic for them to assume that since we know
what is best for them, we are offering them a
choice that is equally beneficial? By offering the

doms in the classroom convey a message to stu-
dents that sexual activity is expected and accepted?
These questions were the basis for my doctor-
al research. To find answers, I surveyed 450
African-American inner-city high school students in
California. Students attended two schools that
were only four miles apart. One school had a school-
based clinic, and the other school did not. Here is a
summary of the major findings.
Although the school-based clinic’s goal is to
reduce sexual activity, its presence on school
grounds may establish sexual activity as the norm.
The clinic may send social cues—messages
implied in the environment—that it is acceptable
for students to have sexual intercourse.
Other studies concur. Access to family plan-
ning services may suggest to teens a greater com-
munity tolerance for sexual activity. Handing out
condoms in classrooms may imply that the princi-
pal, administrators, and teachers approve of and
accept sexual intercourse among teens. This mes-
sage is reinforced again and again with the avail-
ability of more and more condoms every day that
teens attend schools that have clinics or condom
availability.
Clinics on school grounds do not encourage
sexually active students to use contraceptives. So
why are these clinics still in our schools? And why
are there still plans to put school-based clinics or
school-based health centers into every school?
There’s only one reason: to teach comprehen-
sive sex education which some researchers say
encourages early sexual activity. Once girls
choice, do we not also imply that it is a positive
decision for their well-being?
This is why kids today are confused, and we
are the ones confusing them. We don’t need to
offer choices as if anything is acceptable. It’s not!
We need to present absolutes, right and wrong,
and then equip children with the tools they need
to make the right decisions.

1. Female sexual activity rates are higher in the clinic
school. More females in the clinic school became sexually active
than did females in the nonclinic school, 60 percent versus 37
percent respectively.
2. Males perceive that schools accept and expect sexual
intercourse. Males in both schools agreed that, “If schools give
out condoms, it must be okay to have sex,” and “If my school
gives out condoms, it’s because they expect students to have
sexual intercourse.”
3. The school-based clinic creates a sexually permissive
school environment. There was a significant difference in per-

WHAT PARENTS CAN DO
If you have children in public school, you
must become involved. At home, whether your
child attends public or private school, seize every
teachable moment to talk to your child about sex-
ual purity. Annually, make sure your sons and
daughters participate in the church’s abstinence
programs. Here’s why…
According to the recent National Survey of
Family Growth (a survey by the Centers for
Disease Control taken every six or seven years)
42% of girls 15 to 19 reported having sex at least
once; for boys, it was 43 percent. The good news
is that a majority—a whopping 58% of girls and
57% of boys—are not having sex. Why are they
abstaining? The most common reason teens cited
was that sex was against their “religion or morals.”

youth leaders!

agree with the “safer sex” message. Students who attended
church one or more times a week disagreed that “Teenagers are
safe from contracting the HIV/AIDS virus if they use condoms.”
Teenagers who attend church are more likely to affirm, “I would
not have sexual intercourse even if I had a condom.”
Continue to be involved in your child’s
school. Let the principal know that under no cir-
cumstances do you want to have a clinic in the
school. Put your foot down and involve other par-
ents.
If you’re a trained speaker, teach or “guest lec-
ture” on abstinence. I’ve given talks in schools, and
teachers welcome this type of parental involve-
ment. La Nej, who is all grown up now with a
masters in philosophy of religion and ethics and
married with two sons, has taken over this role.
She’s one of the best abstinence educators I’ve ever
heard.
Most of all, parents must pray for their child’s
school. Especially pray for Christian teachers who
teach in public schools because they are the real
missionaries in America. And why not take prayer
one step further? Ask your church to support a
local school. Walk around that school and pray for
the teachers and students.

God’s Healing Power
Roughly ten years ago, a chiropractor
took a full x-ray of my body and noticed that
one of my legs was a couple of inches shorter
than the other. Discovering the leg differ-
ence answered a lot of questions as to why I
would sometimes trip when I walked or mis-
calculate steps as I walked up stairs.
However, because it was not that big of a
deal to me, I never really cared to do any-
thing about it.
In January of this year, I enrolled in the
Apostle Fred Price Ministry Training
Center (AFPMTC). I wanted a better
understanding of God’s Word and how to
apply it in a more effective way. One of the
instructors in the Ministry school is Pastor
Larry Matteson. I had heard little about him
before I joined the school—enough to
intrigue me.
One night after class, I approached
Pastor Matteson and spoke to him about my
leg difference. He asked me if I wanted him
to pray for me. I said yes, but because there
were a number of people standing around I
asked him to do it at another time. He
agreed and we did not speak of it again for a
couple of months.
This past May during class, Pastor
Matteson was teaching on the Gifts of the
Holy Spirit. Right in the middle of class, he
stopped teaching, called me to the front of
the class and asked me to place a chair on the
platform. Without question, I immediately
grabbed a chair and did as he asked. He then
asked me to sit in the chair. After I took a
seat, he told the class about my legs. At that
moment, I thought, “Oh my God! Is he
going to do what I think he’s going to do?”
Then I thought to myself, “This is going to
be cool!”
Pastor Matteson lifted my legs to see the
difference in length. He immediately saw it.
He then told the class he was going to speak
to particular parts of my body and tell them
to line up to the proper length. Little did I
know that, as he was speaking to the class,
my legs were already coming into alignment.
While he was speaking, there was a
slight tingling in my legs. But, I did not pay
much attention to it at the time. I was too
busy listening to the pastor’s words so that I
could make sure my faith was lining up with
what he was going to be praying about.
However, when he eventually lifted my legs
again, my feet were already perfectly lined up
with each other. Even Pastor Matteson was
amazed. He asked me “Did you move?” I
said, “No, not a bit.” At that moment, we
could do nothing else but give praise to God
for His works.

haron Washington admits that she went on her first diet
when she was 12 years old. Since then, she’s been on just
about every diet—Nutrisystem, Atkins, Weight Watchers—
and every time, she’d wind up right back where she started.
After she’d had her son 20 years ago, the weight steadily kept coming.
Then a fellow church member told her about the gastric bypass sur-
gery she’d had and suggested the surgery clinic she’d used.
“I told her I’d looked into gastric bypass surgery,” says
Washington, “but I wasn’t really happy with what I’d found. The peo-
ple in the center I’d found were all depressing and sad. I didn’t want
to be like that. So I called the group she told me about and it was a
totally different environment. I made the decision to have the gastric
bypass. Basically, I believe that was my way of escape. When they
would lay hands on the sick, I remember hearing Dr. Price and Dr.
Betty say, “don’t judge the people up here who are having surgery
because God will meet them at their level of faith.” I believe God met
me at my level of faith through the gastric bypass surgery.”

utes before eating so that she won’t be too full. Her dishes now
include ground turkey instead of ground beef and more soups and sal-

A Man Who Worships is an …
Iron Man By Minister Mark A Peay
M
y 4 year old son, like
most little boys, has an
affinity for superheroes—especially Iron Man. As most
parents know, this generally leads to the subsequent pur-
chase of the action figure and all of its accessories. Because my son has
been completely intrigued and enamored with the ever-popular Iron
Man, I found myself making the trek to the local toy store for the fig-
urine. Upon getting the action figure home and testing it out, I heard
the toy say several pre-recorded declarations. What happened next
changed my perspective as a worshipping man. We will get back to that
in a moment.
It is often said that men are not vocal creatures. However, accord-
ing to 2 Corinthians 5:17, a man who is born of the Spirit of God is a
new creature. Any person born of God has an innate desire and craving
to communicate with their Creator—God the Father. This is known as
prayer/worship. Our words in worship and in prayer bear witness to
our relationship with our Father. Isaiah 12:4-6 affirms this principle:
And in that day you will say:
“ Praise the LORD, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.
5 Sing to the LORD,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth.
6 Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of
Zion, For great is the Holy One of
Israel in your midst!”
- Isaiah 12:4-6
Notice that within these three scriptures,
there are seven directives that are vocal or audible in
nature. This leads us to believe that our worship to
the Father is not only spiritual, but verbal, as well.
Now back to the action figure. As I pressed
the button on the Iron Man figure’s chest, it began
to make a series of declarations; declarations that
affirmed something I already knew as it pertained
to worship: Speaking God’s Word with authority
creates faith and power! It’s amazing how God can
use a toy to build us up and remind us of His Word!
The series of affirmations emitting from the toy went
as follows:
“I Am Iron Man!” – To me this spoke volumes!
Knowing (and confessing) who you are in Christ is the
first step toward entryway into God’s Gates, His
Courts and His Throne Room.
“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonder-
fully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that
my soul knows very well.
Psalm 139:14
When was the last time you declared “I
Am…”? As the very elect of God, we have the right

to proclaim who we are in Christ. I am…
healed! I am…wise! I am… an

the throne of grace, obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of every
need. (Hebrews 4:16)
The next declaration the action figure loudly proclaimed was:
“Target Engaged!” – God is truly the target of our worship. He
is the focus of our praise and the center of our joy. Psalm 5:7 states, “But
as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple. As men, when
we begin to engage in intimate, heartfelt worship to God, we become
empowered and strengthened in our inner man. And not only are we
drawn closer to Him, the byproduct of greater discernment and sensi-
tivity develops as our worship relationship with Him grows. This helps
us more accurately pinpoint the “targets” in our daily lives and better
know how to unleash the last declaration made by the action figure. I
pushed the button again and heard the super hero say…
“Auxiliary Power!” - The word auxiliary is defined as giving
support; serving as an aid; helpful (Dictionary.com). When we engage
in communion and worship with our Father, we deploy an arsenal of
power that is readily available to us! As Christian men, we can walk in
authority and victory in every area as leaders in our homes, our busi-
nesses, on our jobs, in our churches and within our communities. As
we worship, we garner the Holy Spirit’s help, aid and assistance to
navigate through life. We are endowed with favor, wisdom,
strength, boldness and understanding for every good
work. And according to Deuteronomy 8:18, it is God
who gives us power to be successful! (New Living trans-
lation)
So if you’re looking to be an “Iron Man” for God,
remember that real men worship. And if we are going to
subdue kingdoms, we have to confess who we are (“I
Am”), acknowledge whose we are (God is our worship
target) and walk in what we have (Power).

S trife is a dangerous sin that is an open door to the devil. It gives

him license to bring confusion and evil into our lives. If you want
peace in your life, give peace to others. Walk in love, be quick to
forgive and overlook offense. The English word for “strife” is usually
defined as a lack of agreement or a state of conflict, originated from an
Old Icelandic word strith, which means war.
The devil likes to bring you an opportunity to get into it with
someone because he knows that the moment you step into strife he can
gain mastery over you. He uses strife to interrupt the flow of love in your
agenda and ideas, fighting fiercely to see that their party’s platform is
accepted and eventually put in the position of ruling and calling the shots.
In the same way, some Christians become so clouded by their
ambition to see their own views adopted that they have no tolerance for
anyone who sees things differently than they do. Once these so-called like-
minded Christians find each other, they naturally begin to take sides,
forming a kind of allegiance. Then they begin to form agendas and devel-
op plans to see their views pushed, promoted and accepted.

forgive them for they know not what they do. And send forth
laborers to share with them where they have need.”
Then I pray for my immediate relatives – my brothers, sisters-
in-law, nieces, nephews, for example – and thank the Father that I
believe they’re all saved, healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, and live
godly lives according to His Word. I did this for years before I saw
some of my family come into the knowledge of the Word. Then I
saw every one of my brothers come in, some actually walking in the
Word very strongly. There are also some special relatives that are
into trouble, and I simply remind Satan that his power is bound
over their minds.
The next thing I pray for are the members of Crenshaw
Christian Center and Ever Increasing Faith Ministries. I may do

pray that we may be in agreement and bring about the work that

children. I thank the Lord every day that I have a godly husband
and godly children and that my children are walking in line with
the Word. I thank the Lord that we’re blessed because we fear
Him, because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. I
pray for their protection.
It’s important that we pray in the spirit. Everyone should have
a definite time to pray daily. That’s the way you get built up in the
spirit. So many times Christians don’t want to take the time to
pray, but you need to discipline yourself to pray in the same way
you discipline yourself to exercise physically. Though you might
not feel anything from it at the time, but you know you need to do
it to get the results.

First Corinthians 14: 4 says:

have in Him, that if we ask anything accord-

whatever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we have asked of Him.
When you come to God you have to expect that He will
answer your prayer. You have to believe you receive it before you
get it. Keep that in mind. When you’re praying and interceding for
others you have to believe that God is hearing your prayer. Look

This verse is not telling us that we don’t know how to pray. It’s
telling us that we don’t always know what to pray for. And this is
the Scripture that you would use in intercession when you don’t
know what to pray for. If you’ll give yourself to praying in the
Spirit, the Holy Spirit, who knows what the needs are, will pray
through you. Sometimes that’s where groanings and the travailing
come in. Some people are trying to teach others to groan and tra-
vail, but these are not to be taught! That’s what the Holy Spirit
does through us. If you’re taught to travail and groan, it becomes
nothing but flesh and you won’t accomplish anything by it. Let’s

Adrian Evans, a member of Crenshaw
Christian Center, executive assistant to Pastor
Fred Price Jr. and granddaughter of Apostle Fred
and Dr. Betty Price has been all over Hollywood
as of late. Her work as a make-up artist has been
landing her gigs in the spotlight since 2006 under
the ban
Adrian, who was nicknamed Drini by a friend,
nabbed her first celebrity in 2006 when a friend
asked her to do makeup for an up-and-coming
singer named Corinne Bailey Rae. Adrian’s most
recent red carpet gigs have been on her friend
Amber Riley of the show “Glee.” Her makeup
brush has graced the faces of some of Hollywood’s
brightest including singer Ray J, reality TV star
and designer, Whitney Port of MTV’s “The City,”
Sinbad, and Vanessa Bell Calloway, just to name a
few. Her makeup work has been featured on the
Tyra Banks Show, MTV, VH1 and BET, Golden
Globes, People’s Choice Awards, TV Land
Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, ASCAP
Awards and Image Awards.
