for PEP016-1 0 Scientology Grand Opening

Permission is hereby granted to close Raymond Avenue from Green Street to Colorado

Boulevard and a portion of Mercantile Place from Raymond Avenue to Braley Court for a grand
. opening with the following conditions:

. 1. . Street closure will be from approximatelY~OO a.m. to midnight Sunday, .July 18, 2010.
Various sidewalk closures will take place on both sides of Raymond Avenue at specified
times per the special events permit. Prep work will be allowed on the south side of
Mercantile Place as well as camera prep on the east side of Raymond on Saturday, July
17,2010 as long as they maintain adequate ADA accessible access (10' min. on
Mercantile and 5'min. on sidewalk on Raymond Avenue. .

2. All residences and properties affected by the closure of the above-mentioned streets
shall be notified by the permittee at least 48 hours in advance of said closure.

3. The permittee shall handle all traffic control, in acCordance with the Manual of Uniform
Traffic Control Devices with California Supplement (MUTCD) and per the approved traffic
control plans by JCL Barricades, Inc.

) 4. Permittee shall coordinate transit route and stop closures with affected transit agencies.

5. Permittee is responsible for deploying a sufficient number of barricades and all signs for
traffic and crowd control at locations designated by the Pasadena Police Department in
consultation with the Traffic Engineering Section (Maggie Mojica, [626] 744-3763) or
. (JoaquinSiques, [626] 744-6900). .

6. . When in use, each barricaded location must be staffed by an adult.

7. Emergency and local vehicles will be allowed to pass the barricades at all times.

8. Permittee is responsible for coordinating loss of parking meter revenue and impacted
. transit facilities.

9. Permittee is responsible for street clean-up following the event. In the event that the
street and other public right-of-way is not restored to original condition, Public Works
staff may be required and the permitee will be charged fOfthe staff time expended.

1G. "NO PARKJNGfTOW AWAY" signs must be posted 24 hours in advance. "NO
PARKINGfTOW AWAY" SIGNS MAY NOT BE ATTACHED TO STREET TREES. "NO
PARKINGfTOW AWAY" SIGNS MAY ONLY BE ATTACHED TO STREET LIGHT
STANDARDS OR PARKING METERS WITH PLASTIC WRAP, STRING OR PLASTIC
COATED WIRE. TAPE AND OTHER MATERIALS THAT MAY DAMAGE THE
PAINTED SURFACE OF THE STREET LIGHT STANDARDS AND PARKING METERS
) ARE NOT ALLOWED. ParkIng AdmInistration must be notified after signs have
