Jharkhand
Jharkhand is a state in eastern India carved out of the southern part of Bihar on 15 November
2000. The state shares its border with the states of Bihar to the north, Uttar
Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to the west, Odisha to the south, and West Bengal to the east. It has an
area of 79,710 km2 (30,778 sq mi)

Grants to the poor and the needy to visit religious or other tourist destinations in the
state or the country.
The government will also start a pension scheme for the HIV/AIDS victims at a rate of
Rs 600 per month.

For Women:
Training will be provided to 2,000 women from the SC/ST and OBC categories for
driving light three-wheelers and four-wheelers. Loans will be easily available to buy
vehicles.
Widow pension of Rs. 600 would be given to women above 40.
Working womens hostels are to be constructed in six cities.
For Agriculture:
Setting up of single window system in all blocks of the state, beginning with 100 in
the first phase.
Solar pumps, lift irrigation and organic farming will also be promoted.
Awareness will be created among farmers to use power tillers in place of tractors due to
their efficiency and effectiveness.
MLAs local area development fund has been increased to Rs 4 crore from Rs 3
crore. They will utilize them only for irrigation projects.
Jharkhand and Adani Group inked MoU to set up thermal power plant
Jharkhand government and Adani Group had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to
set up a 1600 MW capacity thermal power plant for investment of 15000 crore rupees in the
state.
It will be set up in Godda and Sahibganj districts of Jharkhand.
The Jharkhand total investment is expected to be Rs 62,000 crore.
Tenughat, Konar, Budha, Gonda, Chandil, Dimna, Sitaram, Kansjore, Tapkara, Malay and
dams located inside the Palamu Tiger Reserve.

The other species of migratory birds included White Necked Stork, Oriental White
Ibis and Northern Shovele.
Forest officers have to take care of the arrangement in the dams to preserve and protect
the avian fauna, particularly migratory birds.
Proper security arrangements for the birds around the dam should be done by the officers.
As per the Survey the Migratory birds are mostly visit the Massanjore Dam in Dumka which
is recorded as 9,564, followed by Chandil at 7,896 and Udhav at 7,823 bird
