REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2011-540

AN ORDINANCE CREATING FOURTEEN (14) NEW PLANTILLA
POSIDONS FOR IBE ILOILO CITY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Sponsored by Councilor Jason R. Gonzales, duly seconded by

Councilors Lyndon V. Acap, Roberto E. Divinagracia and Nielex
C. Tupas

WHEREAS, last June 15, 2011 the Committee on Good Government and Public
Accountability received an endorsement dated June 14, 2011 from Hon. Jed Patrick E. Mabilog,
City Mayor;

WHEREAS, the endorsement includes the request for the approval of the abolition of
twenty nine (29) plantilla positions from the different departments of the city government;

WHEREAS, the endorsement also includes the request for the creation of new plantilla
positions for the Iloilo City Community College and providing funds for the newly created
positions chargeable against the existing positions deemed abolished;

WHEREAS, the creation of new plantilla positions for the lloilo City Community
College which has been deemed necessary, urgent and of immediate concern, serves as the
rationale for the abolition of the aforementioned twenty nine (29) plantitlla positions;

WHEREAS, Section 76 ofRepublic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code states that:

"Section 76. - Every LGU shall design and implement its own
organizational structure and staffing pattern taking into consideration its service
requirements and financial capability, subject to the minimum standards and
guidelines prescribed by the Civil Service Commission. "

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of

Iloilo, that:

Section 1. - The fourteen (14) new plantilla positions for the Iloilo City Community
College are hereby CREATED immediately, to wit:

nine (29) positions cited in Regulation Ordinance No. 2011-539.

Section 3. - This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
