Pentru a asigura o func]ionare normal\ aparatului dvs. care utilizeaz\ un agent frigorific

de echipamente electrice [i electronice (DEEE)

Conform prevederilor legisla]iei privind gestionarea de[eurilor, este interzis\

eliminarea de[eurilor de echipamente electrice [i electronice (DEEE) al\turi de
de[eurile municipale nesortate. Ele trebuie predate la punctele municipale de
colectare, societ\]ile autorizate de colectare/reciclare sau distribuitori (n cazul n care
se achizi]ioneaz\ echipamente noi de acela[i tip).

Autorit\]ile locale trebuie s\ asigure spa]iile necesare pentru colectarea

selectiv\ a de[eurilor precum [i func]ionalitatea acestora. Contacta]i societatea de
salubrizare sau compartimentul specializat din cadrul prim\riei pentru informa]ii
detaliate.
De[eurile de echipamente electrice [i electronice pot fi predate [i distribuitorilor, la
achizi]ionarea de echipamente noi de acela[i tip (schimb 1 la 1).

Predarea, de c\tre utilizatori, a de[eurilor de echipamente electrice [i

electronice, la punctele de colectare municipale, societ\]ile autorizate de
colectare/reciclare sau distribuitori (n cazul n care se achizi]ioneaz\ echipamente noi
de acela[i tip) faciliteaz\ refolosirea, reciclarea sau alte forme de valoificare a
acestora.

Informa]ii cu privire la punctele de colectare a de[eurilor de echipamente

electrice [i electronice, se g\sesc pe site-ul Ministerului Mediului [i Gospod\ririi
Apelor, la adresa: www.mmediu.ro.

De[eurile de echipamente electrice [i electronice pot con]ine substan]e

periculoase care pot avea un impact negativ asupra mediului [i san\t\]ii umane n
cazul n care DEEE nu sunt colectate selectiv [i gestionate conform prevederilor legale.

Simbolul de mai jos (o pubel\ cu ro]i barat\ cu dou\ linii n form\ de X), aplicat
pe un echipament electric sau electronic, semnific\ faptul ca acesta face obiectul unei
colect\ri separate [i nu poate fi eliminat mpreun\ cu de[eurile municipale nesortate.

Felicit\ri pentru alegerea Dumneavoastr\ !

Acest refrigerator-congelator pe care l-a]i achizi]ionat este cea mai
nou\ realizare a noastr\ din gama produselor . Are un
design nou, atractiv [i este construit `n conformitate cu normele
europene [i na]ionale care v\ garanteaz\ aptitudinile de
func]ionare [i securitate. Fabrica]ia monobloc a dulapului asigur\,
pe lng\ robuste]e, u[urin]\ `n `ntre]inere [i o depanare u[oar\ a
aparatului.
Func]ionarea cu un singur motocompresor, sistemul de comand\-
reglare cu un singur termostat asigur\ o bun\ echilibrare a
temperaturilor din cele dou\ compartimente [i un consum redus
de energie electric\ (clasa energetic\ A+). ~n plus, agentul
frigorific utilizat, R600a, este nepoluant [i nu pune `n pericol
stratul de ozon.

Sfaturi pentru reciclarea vechiului
dumneavoastr\ aparat
~n cazul `n care noul aparat achizi]ionat
`nlocuie[te un aparat mai vechi, trebuie s\
]ine]i cont de cteva lucruri.
Aparatele uzate nu sunt de[euri f\r\
valoare. Eliminarea lor, respectnd mediul
`nconjur\tor, permite recuperarea unor
materii prime importante.
Face]i vechiul aparat inutilizabil :
- deconecta]i aparatul de la priza de curent;
- `ndep\rta]i cablul de alimentare (t\ia]i-l);
- `ndep\rta]i eventualele `ncuietori de pe u[\
pentru a evita blocarea `n interior, din joac\, a
copiilor [i punerea `n pericol a vie]ii acestora.
Aparatele frigorifice con]in materiale
izolatoare [i agen]i frigorifici care necesit\ o
reciclare adecvat\.
Reciclarea ambalajului

Nu permite]i copiilor s\s\ se joace cu ambalajul

Ele con]in informa]ii importante referitoare la
instalarea, utilizarea [i `ntre]inerea aparatului.
Fabricantul `[i declin\ orice responsabilitate
dac\ nu se respect\ indica]iile din acest
document. P\stra]i instruc]iunile `ntr-un loc
sigur pentru a putea fi consultate cu u[urin]\
`n caz de nevoie. De asemenea, ele pot fi
folositoare ulterior unui alt utilizator.

Acest aparat trebuie folosit numai `n scopul
pentru care a fost fabricat (uz casnic), `n spa]ii
corespunz\

Instruc]iuni de transport
Aparatul trebuie transportat, pe ct posibil,

repaus timp de 24 ore pentru a permite
stabilizarea circuitului frigorific.
Nerespectarea acestor instruc]iuni poate duce
la defectarea motocompresorului [i scoaterea
aparatului din garan]ie.

Precau]ii [i recomand\ri generale

Nu pune]i aparatul `n func]iune dac\ a]i
observat o defec]iune.

~n timpul transportului, manipul\rii [i
pozi]ion\rii aparatului evita]i s\ deforma]i
circuitul frigorific (tubulatura).

Folosi]i compartimentul frigider doar pentru
conservarea alimentelor proaspete [i
compartimentul congelator doar pentru
p\strarea alimentelor congelate, congelarea
alimentelor proaspete [i producerea cuburilor
de ghea]\.

Nu l\sa]i u[ile deschise mai mult dect este
necesar introducerii sau scoaterii alimentelor.

Nu p\stra]i b\uturi acidulate (sucuri, ap\
mineral\ carbogazoas\, [ampanie, etc) `n
congelator : sticla poate s\ explodeze! Nu se
vor conserva b\uturi `n sticle de plastic.

Nu depozita]i `n interior produse care con]in
gaze inflamabile sau explozive.

Nu consuma]i cuburi de ghea]\ sau
`nghe]at\ imediat dup\ scoaterea lor din
compartimentul congelator pentru c\ pot
cauza arsuri la rece.

Nu atinge]i niciodat\ p\r]i metalice reci sau
alimente congelate dac\ ave]i minile ude
deoarece minile dvs. pot `nghe]a rapid pe
suprafe]ele foarte reci.

Nu permite]i copiilor s\ se joace sau s\ se
ascund\ `n interiorul aparatului.

~nainte de a efectua orice opera]ie de
cur\]are scoate]i fi[a din priza de curent.

Pentru a deconecta aparatul de la re]ea
trage]i de fi[\
fi[\ [i nu de cablu!

Nu v\ urca]i pe aparat, nu v\ l\sa]i pe u[\,
gr\tare sau etajere.

Nu folosi]i aparatul aproape de radiatoare,
ma[ini de g\tit sau alte surse de c\ldur\ [i foc.

Pentru a preveni orice posibilitate de
deteriorare sau de accidentare, pe partea
superioar\ a aparatului (top) nu se vor a[eza
obiecte ornamentale instabile, care con]in
lichide sau surse de foc (exemplu: vaze cu
flori, ghivece, lumn\ri, l\mpi, etc.).

Nu l\sa]i alimentele `n aparat dac\ acesta
nu func]ioneaz\.

Dac\ nu utiliza]i aparatul cteva zile, nu este
recomandabil s\-l opri]i. Dac\ nu-l utiliza]i o
perioad\ mai mare de timp, ve]i proceda `n
felul urm\tor :
- scoate]i fi[a cordonului de alimentare din
priz\;
- goli]i frigiderul [i congelatorul;
- dezghe]a]i [i cur\]a]i;
- l\sa]i u[ile deschise pentru a evita formarea
mirosurilor nepl\cute.

Cordonul de alimentare poate fi `nlocuit doar
de de c\tre o persoan\ autorizat\.
Instalare
Acest aparat a fost proiectat s\ func]ioneze la o
temperatur\ ambiant\ `ntre +100C [i +380C
(clasa SN-ST). Dac\ temperatura ambiant\
dep\[e[te +380C, `n interiorul aparatului
temperatura poate s\ creasc\, iar dac\
temperatura ambiant\ scade sub +100C,
aparatul nu mai func]ioneaz\ normal. Evita]i
utilizarea lui la temperaturi ambiante mai mici
de +50C.

Instala]i aparatul departe de orice surs\ de
c\ldur\ [i foc. Instalarea `ntr-o `nc\pere cald\,
expunerea direct\ la razele solare sau
pozi]ionarea aparatului `n apropierea unei surse
de c\ldur\ (calorifere, ma[ini de g\tit,
cuptoare), m\resc consumul de energie
electric\ [i reduc durata de via]\ a acestuia.

Respecta]i urm\toarele distan]e minime:
 100 cm de la ma[inile de g\tit pe baz\ de
c\rbuni sau petrol;
 150 cm de la ma[inile de g\tit electrice
[i/sau pe baz\ de gaze.

Asigura]i libera circula]ie a aerului `n jurul
aparatului, prin respectarea distan]elor
precizate `n Fig. 2.
Monta]i pe condensator (`n partea din spate)
limitatoarele livrate `mpreun\ cu aparatul
(Fig.3).

A[eza]i aparatul `ntr-un loc uscat [i bine
ventilat, perfect nivelat, reglnd picioru[ele
anterioare dac\ este necesar (Fig. 4).

Orice pies\ de mobilier suspendat\ se va
monta la o distan]\ minim\ de 25 cm deasupra
aparatului. Aceea[i distan]\ se va asigura [i `n
cazul existen]ei unei ni[e sau a altui element
de construc]ie.

Aparatul nu este construit pentru a fi incastrat
`n mobil\.

Monta]i accesoriile din dotare.

Conectarea electric\
Aparatul dumneavoastr\ este prev\zut s\
func]ioneze la o tensiune monofazat\ de
230V/50 Hz. ~nainte de a conecta aparatul la
re]ea, asigura]i-v\ c\ parametrii re]elei electrice
din casa dvs. (tensiune, tip curent, frecven]\)
corespund parametrilor de func]ionare ai
aparatului.

Informa]iile referitoare la tensiunea de
alimentare [i puterea absorbit\ sunt date pe
eticheta de marcare, situat\ `n interior pe
partea lateral\ dreapta, vizibil\ dup\ tragerea
cutiei pentru legume [i fructe.

Instala]ia electric\ trebuie s\ respecte
condi]iile legale.

~mp\mntarea aparatului este obligatorie prin
lege.
Fabricantul nu-

pentru eventualele pagube aduse persoanelor,
animalelor sau distrugerea bunurilor rezultate
prin nerespectarea condi]iilor men]ionate.

Aparatul este dotat cu un cordon de
alimentare [i o fi[\ (model european, marcat\
10/16A) cu dublu contact de legare la p\mnt
de protec]ie. Dac\ priza nu este de acela[i tip
cu fi[a, cere]i unui tehnician specializat s\ o
schimbe.

Nu folosi]i prelungitoare sau adaptori multipli.
Deconectarea electric\
Deconectarea electric\ trebuie s\ fie posibil\
prin scoaterea fi[ei din priz\ sau cu ajutorul
unui `ntrerup\tor bipolar de re]ea situat `naintea
prizei.
Punerea `n func]iune
~nainte de punerea `n func]iune, cur\]a]i
interiorul aparatului (vezi capitolul "~ntre]inerea
[i cur\]area aparatului").
Dup\ terminarea acestei opera]ii conecta]i
aparatul la re]ea, deschide]i u[a frigiderului
(becul din interior se va aprinde) [i regla]i
butonul termostat pe o pozi]ie medie.
L\sa]i aparatul s\ func]ioneze circa 4 ore f\r\ s\
pune]i alimente `n el.
Congelarea alimentelor proaspete este posibil\
dup\ min. 12 ore de func]ionare.

Reglarea temperaturilor `n frigider
[i congelator
Temperaturile interioare ale frigiderului [i
congelatorului se regleaz\ simultan cu ajutorul
butonului montat pe termostat plasat `n
interiorul compartimentului frigider.
Dac\ butonul termostat este pe pozi]ia O
aparatul este oprit. ~n acest caz nici becul
pentru iluminare interioar\ nu se va aprinde.
Aparatul este astfel conceput inct, pentru
aceea[i pozitie a butonului termostat, este
asigurat\ o buna echilibrare a temperaturilor
interioare din compartimentele congelator [i
frigider pentru oricare temperatur\ ambiant\
`ntre 100C [i 380C.
Temperaturile ob]inute `n interior pot s\ varieze
`n func]ie de condi]iile de utilizare ale
aparatului: amplasare, temperatura mediului
ambiant, frecven]a deschiderii u[ilor, gradul de
`nc\rcare cu alimente. Pozi]ia butonului
termostat se va modifica `n func]ie de aceste
condi]ii.
~n general, pentru o temperatur\ a mediului
ambiant de 250C, la prima punere `n func]iune a
aparatului, butonul termostatului se va fixa pe o
pozi]ie medie. Aceast\ pozi]ie poate fi ajustat\
ulterior `n plus sau minus `n func]ie de dorin]a
fiec\rui utilizator.

Este recomandat\ o pozi]ie a butonului
termostat pentru care temperatura medie din
interiorul frigiderului (pentru un ciclu de
func]ionare), la un mediu ambiant de 250C, s\
fie `n jurul valorii de 50C, automat `n
compartimentul congelator temperatura va fi
optim\ pentru conservarea [i congelarea
alimentelor. Aceast\ pozi]ie a butonului
termostat poate fi p\strat\ [i pentru temperaturi
ambiante de 100C [i 380C f\r\ a strica echilibrul
temperaturilor din compartimentele frigider [i
congelator.
Evita]i o pozi]ie a butonului termostat care ar
putea duce la o func]ionare continu\ a
aparatului. Aceasta provoac\ sc\derea
temperaturilor sub 00C `n compartimentul
frigider, cu pericolul `nghe]\rii b\uturilor [i a
alimentelor proaspete [i o acumulare excesiv\
de ghea]\ pe peretele interior, cu sc\derea
eficien]ei frigorifice a aparatului (cre[terea
consumului de energie).
Termostatul asigur\ dezghe]area automat\ a
compartimentului frigider la fiecare ciclu de
func]ionare.
~n timpul func]ion\rii aparatului, apar pic\turi
de condens sau de ghea]\ pe peretele interior
din spate. Nu este nevoie s\ `ndep\rta]i aceste
pic\turi, deoarece peretele din spate se
dezghea]\ automat. Apa rezultat\ se scurge
prin canalul special [i se strnge `ntr-o t\vi]\
aflat\ pe motocompresor, de unde se evapor\.
Pentru a m\sura temperatura `ntr-o anumit\
zon\ `n interiorul frigiderului (de exemplu pe
gr\tar) pute]i folosi un termometru amplasat,
`ntr-un recipient plin cu ap\. Pentru a ob]ine o
temperatur\ care reprezint\ `ntr-adev\r
temperatura `n zona respectiv\ cu exactitate,
temperatura trebuie s\ fie citit\ dup\ cteva ore
de stabilizare, de exemplu diminea]a cnd u[a
este deschis\ pentru prima oar\.

Producerea cuburilor de ghea]\
Umple]i trei sferturi cu ap\ t\vi]a pentru cuburi
de ghea]\ [i pune]i-o `n compartimentul de
joas\ temperatur\. Cuburile de ghea]\ se
desprind mai u[or dac\ trece]i t\vi]a cteva
secunde sub un jet de ap\ rece.
Congelarea alimentelor
Capacitatea de congelare
Capacitatea de congelare reprezinta greutatea
maxim\ de alimente care poate fi congelat\ in
24 de ore. Aceasta este indicat\ `n tabelul de la
pag. 8 [i pe placu]a cu datele tehnice din
interiorul compartimentului frigider, lng\ cutia
de legume.
Pentru congelarea alimentelor proaspete se
recomand\ `mpachetarea produselor `n folii de
aluminiu sau plastic, r\cirea `n compartimentul
de alimente proaspete [i depozitarea pe
gr\tarul compartimentului congelator. Este de
preferat ca gr\tarul sa fie fxat `n partea
superioar\ a compartimentului congelator. r.
Alimentele trebuie s\ fie congelate complet [i
ct mai repede, numai astfel se conserv\
con]inutul de vitamine, valoarea lor nutritiv\,
aspectul [i gustul lor. Din acest motiv se
recomand\ s\ nu se dep\[easc\ capacitatea
maxim\ de congelare a aparatului
dumneavoastra.
Alimentele deja congelate se vor feri de
contactul direct cu alimentele ce urmeaz\ a fi
congelate.
~nainte de introducerea lor pentru congelare,
alimentele fierbin]i se vor r\ci la temperatura
camerei.
Dac\ u[a congelatorului se deschide greu dup\
ce tocmai a]i `nchis-o, nu v\ `ngrijora]i. Aceasta
se datoreaz\ diferen]ei de presiune care se
egaleaz\ [i permite u[ii s\ se deschid\ normal
dup\ cteva minute. Ve]i auzi un sunet de vid
chiar dup\ `nchiderea u[ii. Acesta este normal.

Sugestii privind a[ezarea
alimentelor
Pentru a ob]ine o depozitare [i o igien\ optime,
v\ suger\m urm\toarele:
~n frigider se p\streaz\ pentru scurt timp
alimente proaspete [i b\uturi.
Produsele lactate trebuie p\strate `n
compartimentul special de pe interiorul u[ii .
Alimentele g\tite trebuie p\strate `n
recipiente bine `nchise, nu mai mult de 2-3 zile.
Produsele proaspete, ambalate, se pot p\stra
pe rafturi. Fructele [i legumele proaspete se
depoziteaz\ `n cutia pentru legume.
Sticlele se p\streaz\ `n compartimentul
special de pe interiorul u[ii.
Pentru a p\stra carnea proasp\t\ pentru
cteva zile `n frigider, `mpacheta]i-o `n pungi de
polietilen\. Nu o a[eza]i `n contact cu
alimentele g\tite. Ca m\sur\ de prevedere, nu
p\stra]i carnea proasp\t\ mai mult de 2-3 zile.
P\stra]i alimentele ambalate sau acoperite.
Produsele conservate nu vor mai fi p\strate `n
cutie dup\ ce a fost deschis\.
L\sa]i alimentele fierbin]i s\ se r\ceasc\
`nainte de a le introduce `n frigider.
B\uturile alcoolice cu concentra]ie mare
trebuie p\strate `n pozi]ie vertical\, `n
recipiente bine `nchise (pot constitui pericol de
explozie).
Nu permite]i lipirea unui pachet cu alimente
de peretele r\cit al frigiderului (pentru a nu se
forma un bloc de ghea]\ care nu mai poate fi
dezghe]at `n func]ionare normal\).

Nu introduce]i n congelator o cantitate prea
mare de alimente dintr-o dat\. Calitatea
alimentelor se p\streaz\ cel mai bine dac\ sunt
congelate `n profunzime ct mai repede posibil.
De aceea este de preferat s\ nu dep\[i]i
capacitatea de congelare a aparatului indicat\
n "Fi[a aparatului". Pentru scurtarea duratei de
congelare, regla]i butonul termostat pe o
pozi]ie superioar\, dar f\r\ a provoca sc\derea
exagerat\ (sub 00C) a temperaturii `n frigider.

de maximum 3 luni (ca un ghid general).
Orice aliment, chiar [i par]ial decongelat, nu
mai poate fi recongelat, trebuie consumat
imediat sau g\tit [i apoi recongelat.
B\uturile acidulate nu se p\streaz\ `n
congelator.
~n cazul unei `ntreruperi de curent, nu
deschide]i u[a aparatului. Alimentele congelate
nu vor fi afectate dac\ `ntreruperea dureaz\
mai pu]in de 19 ore.
Producerea cuburilor de ghea]\
Umple]i trei sferturi cu ap\ t\vi]a pentru cuburi
de ghea]\ [i pune]i-o `n compartimentul de
joas\ temperatur\. Cuburile de ghea]\ se
desprind mai u[or dac\ trece]i t\vi]a cteva
secunde sub un jet de ap\ rece.

Evitati plasarea aparatului intr-un loc `nsorit
sau `n apropierea unei surse de c\ldur\.
Asigura]i buna ventilare a compresorului [i
condensatorului.
Pune]i produsele `n vase `nchise sau folii

suplimentar\.
Nu l\sa]i u[ile deschise mai mult dect este
necesar [i deschide]i-o doar cind este nevoie.

Compartimentul frigider
Dezghe]area este complet automat\ [i se
produce `n timpul fiec\rei perioade de oprire a
motocompresorului comandat\ de termostat.
Nu este necesar\ nici o interven]ie din partea

Verifica]i ca furtunul s\ fie permanent cu
cap\tul `n interiorul t\vi]ei colectoare de pe
motocompresor pentru a preveni scurgerea
apei peste instala]ia electric\ sau pe
pardoseal\.(Fig.

Compartimentul congelator

grosime excesiv\.

~n acest timp temperatura frigiderului nu
trebuie s\ fie prea sc\zut\.
- Debran[a]i aparatul de la re]ea.
- Scoate]i apoi alimentele congelate, `nf\[ura]i-
le `n mai multe coli de hrtie [i a[eza]i-le `ntr-un
loc r\coros.
- L\sa]i u[a deschis\ pentru o dezghe]are
rapid\ [i plasa]i vase cu ap\ cald\ (max. 800C) `n
interior.
Formarea ghe]ii este un fenomen normal.
Cantitatea [i rapiditatea de acumulare
depinde de condi]iile ambientale [i de
frecven]a deschiderii u[ii.
 Acumularea ghe]ii, `n special `n partea
superioar\ a compartimentului, este un
fenomen natural [i nu `mpiedic\ buna
func]ionare a aparatului.
 Se recomand\ efectuarea dezghe]\rii, cnd
cantitatea de alimente congelate este minim\.
Nu folosi]i obiecte metalice ascu]ite pentru a
`ndep\
`ndep\rta ghea]a, deoarece risca]i perforarea
vaporizatorului.

p\r sau alte aparate
electrice

s\pun, benzin\ sau aceton\ care pot l\sa un
miros persistent.

1. Zgomotul de func]ionare se poate accentua
`n timpul func]ion\rii.
- Pentru men]inerea temperaturilor la
temperatura reglat\, motocompresorul
aparatului porne[te periodic. Zgomotul produs
de motocompresor devine mai puternic la
pornirea acestuia iar la oprire se aude un
clinchet.
- Caracteristicile de performan]\ [i func]ionare
ale aparatului se pot schimba `n func]ie de
modific\rile de temperatur\ ale mediului
ambiant. Aceste lucruri trebuie considerate ca
ceva normal.
2. Zgomote care dau senza]ia de lichide care
curg sau sunt pulverizate
- Aceste zgomote sunt determinate de fluxul
agentului frigorific `n circuitul aparatului [i sunt
conforme cu principiul de func]ionare ale
aparatului.
3. Alte vibra]ii [i zgomote.
- Nivelul de zgomot [i vibra]ii poate fi cauzat de
tipul [i aspectul podelei pe care este a[ezat
aparatul. Asigurati-v\ ca podeaua nu prezint\
denivel\ri pronun]ate sau poate ceda sub
greutatea aparatului (este flexibil\).
- O alt\ surs\ de zgomot [i vibra]ii sunt
obiectele a[ezate pe aparat. Aceste obiecte
trebuie `ndepartate de pe aparat.

Appliance, designed to give you many years of service.

Safety first!
Do not connect your appliance to the electricity supply
until all packing and transit protectors have been
removed.
Leave to stand for at least 4 hours before switching on,
to allow compressor oil to settle, if transported
horizontally.
If you are discarding an old appliance with a lock or
latch fitted to the door, ensure that it is left in a safe
condition to prevent the entrapment of children.
This appliance must only be used for its intended
purpose.
Do not dispose of the appliance on a fire. Your
appliance contains non CFC substances in the insulation
which are flammable. We suggest you contact your local
authority for information on disposal and available
facilities.
We do not recommend use of this appliance in an
unheated, cold room. (e.g. garage, conservatory, annex,
shed, out-house etc.)
To obtain the best possible performance and trouble free
operation from your appliance it is very important to read

Electrical requirements
Before inserting the plug into the wall socket
make sure that the voltage and the frequency
shown in the rating plate inside the appliance
corresponds to your electricity supply.
We recommend that this appliance is
connected to the mains supply via a suitably
switched and fused socket in a readily
accessible position.
Warning! This appliance must be earthed.
Repairs to electrical equipment should only be
performed by a qualified technician. Incorrect
repairs carried out by an unqualified person are
carry risks that may have critical consequences
for the user of the appliance.
ATTENTION!
This appliance operates with R600a which is an
environmental friendly but flammable gas.
During the transportation and fixing of the
product, care must be taken not to damage the
cooling system. If the cooling system is
damaged and there is a gas leakage from the
system, keep the product away from open
flame sources and ventilate the room for a
while.
WARNING - Do not use mechanical devices or
other means to accelerate the defrosting
process, others than those recommended by
the manufacturer.
WARNING - Do not damage the refrigerant
circuit.
WARNING - Do not use electrical appliances
inside the food storage compartments of the
appliance, unless they are of the type
recommended by the manufacturer.
Transportation instructions
1. The appliance should be transported only in
an upright position. Before the performance of
the working test in the shop, the packing of the
appliance must be intact.
2. If during the transport the appliance, has
been positioned horizontally, it must not be
operated for at least 4 hours, to allow the
system to settle.
3. Failure to comply with the above
instructions could result in damage to the
appliance, for which the manufacturer will not
be held liable.
4. The appliance must be protected against
rain, moisture and other atmospheric influences.

Important!
Care must be taken while cleaning/carrying
the appliance not to touch the bottom of the
condenser metal wires at the back of the
appliance, as this could cause injury to fingers
and hands.
Do not attempt to sit or stand on top of your
appliance as it is not designed for such use. You
could injure yourself or damage the appliance.
Make sure that the mains cable is not caught
under the appliance during and after moving,
as this could damage the cable.
Do not allow children to play with the
appliance or tamper with the controls.
Installation instructions
1. Do not keep your appliance in a room
where the temperature is likely to fall below 10
degrees C (50 degrees F) at night and/or
especially in winter, as it is designed to operate
in ambient temperatures between +10 and +38
degrees C (50 and 100 degrees F). At lower
temperatures the appliance may not operate,
resulting in a reduction in the storage life of the
food.
2. Do not place the appliance near cookers or
radiators or in direct sunlight, as this will cause
extra strain on the appliance's functions. If
installed next to a source of heat or freezer,
maintain the following minimum side
clearances:

3. Make sure that sufficient room is provided
around the appliance to ensure free air
circulation (IItem 2).

Put the back airing lid to the back of your
refrigerator to set the distance between the
refrigerator and the wall (Item
Item 3).

4. The appliance should be positioned on a
smooth surface. The two front feet can be
adjusted as required.To ensure that your
appliance is standing upright adjust the two
front feet by turning clockwise or anti-
clockwise, until firm contact is secured with the
floor. Correct adjustment of feet prevents
excessive vibration and noise (Item
Item 4).

Suggested arrangement of food in
the appliance
Guidelines for obtaining optimum storage and
hygiene:
1. The fridge compartment is for the short-
term storage of fresh food and drinks.
2. The freezer compartment is rated
and suitable for the freezing and storage of
pre-frozen food.
The recommendation for storage as
stated on the food packaging should be
observed at all times.
3. Dairy products should be stored in the
special compartment provided in the door liner.
In order to freeze fresh food it is recommended
to pack the products in aluminium or plastic
sheet, cool them in the fresh food
compartment and store them on the freezer
compartment shelf.
It is preferable that the shelf be fixed in the
upper side of the freezer compartment
4. Cooked dishes should be stored in airtight
containers.
5. Fresh wrapped produce can be kept on the
shelf. Fresh fruit and vegetables should be
cleaned and stored in the crispers.
6. Bottles can be kept in the door section.
7. To store raw meat, wrap in polythene bags
and place on the lowest shelf. Do not allow to
come into contact with cooked food, to avoid
contamination. For safety, only store raw meat
for two to three days.

8. For maximum efficiency, the removable
shelves should not be covered with paper or
other materials to allow free circulation of cool
air.
9. Do not keep vegetable oil on door shelves.
Keep the food packed, wrapped or covered.
Allow hot food and beverages to cool before
refrigerating. Leftover canned food should not
be stored in the can.
10. Fizzy drinks should not be frozen and
products such as flavoured water ices should
not be consumed too cold.
11. Some fruit and vegetables suffer damage if
kept at temperatures near 0C. Therefore wrap
pineapples, melons, cucumbers, tomatoes and
similar produce in polythene bags.
12. High-proof alcohol must be stored upright in
tightly closed containers. Never store products
that contain an inflammable propellant gas (e.g.
cream dispensers, spray cans, etc.) or explosive
substances. These are an explosion hazard.
Temperature control and
adjustment
Operating temperatures are controlled by the
thermostat knob and may be set at any position
between 1 and 5 (the coldest position).
If the thermostat knob is in position "0" the
appliance is off. In this case neither the lamp
for inside lighting will light.
The average temperature inside the fridge
should be around +5C (+41F).
Therefore adjust the thermostat to obtain the
desired temperature. Some sections of the
fridge may be cooler or warmer (such as salad
crisper and top part of the cabinet) which is
quite normal. We recommend that you check
the temperature periodically with a
thermometer to ensure that the cabinet is kept
to this temperature. Frequent door openings
cause internal temperatures to rise, so it is
advisable to close the door as soon as possible
after use.

Before operating
Final Check
Before you start using the appliance check that:
1. The feet have been adjusted for perfect
levelling.
2. The interior is dry and air can circulate freely
at the rear.
3. The interior is clean as recommended under
"Cleaning and care.
4. The plug has been inserted into the wall
socket and the electricity is switched on. When
the door is open the interior light will come on.
And note that:
5. You will hear a noise as the compressor
starts up. The liquid and gases sealed within the
refrigeration system may also make some
(noise), whether the compressor is running or
not. This is quite normal.
6. Slight undulation of the top of the cabinet is
quite normal due to the manufacturing process
used; it is not a defect.
7. We recommend setting the thermostat knob
midway and monitor the temperature to ensure
the appliance maintains desired storage
temperatures (See section Temperature Control
and Adjustment).
8. Do not load the appliance immediately it is
switched on. Wait until the correct storage
temperature has been reached. We recommend
checking the temperature with an accurate
thermometer (see; Temperature Control and
Adjustment).
Storing frozen food
Your freezer is suitable for the long-term
storage of commercially frozen foods and also
can be used to freeze and store fresh food.
For storing home-frozen fresh food refer to the
storage-life guide on the door-liner.
If there is a power failure, do not open the
door. Frozen food should not be affected if the
failure lasts for less than 19 hrs. If the failure is
longer, then the food should be checked and
either eaten immediately or cooked and then
re-frozen.

Freezing fresh food
Please observe the following instructions to
obtain the best results.
Do not freeze too large a quantity at any one
time. The quality of the food is best preserved
when it is frozen right through to the core as
quickly as possible.
Do not exceed the freezing capacity of your
appliance in 24 h.
Placing warm food into the freezer
compartment causes the refrigeration machine
to operate continously until the food is frozen
solid. This can temporarily lead to excessive
cooling of the refrigeration compartment.
When freezing fresh food, keep the thermostat
knob at medium position. Small quantities of
food up to 1/2 kg. (1 lb) can be frozen without
adjusting the temperature control knob.
Take special care not to mix already frozen food
and fresh food.
If you find the freezer door difficult to open just
after you have closed it, dont worry. This is
due to the pressure difference which will
equalize and allow the door to open normally
after a few minutes.
You will hear a vacuum sound just after closing
the door. This is quite normal.
Making ice cubes
Fill the ice - cube tray 3/4 full with water and
place it in the freezer. Loosen frozen trays with
a spoon handle or a similar implement; never
use sharp-edged objects such as knives or forks.

Defrosting
A) Fridge compartment
The fridge compartment defrosts automatically.
The defrost water runs to the drain tube via a
collection container at the back of the
appliance (Item 5).

During defrosting, water droplets may form at
the back of the fridge compartment where a
concealed evaporator is located. Some droplets
may remain on the liner and refreeze when
defrosting is completed. Do not use pointed or
sharp-edged objects such as knives or forks to
remove the droplets which have refrozen.
If, at any time, the defrost water does not drain
from the collection channel, check that no food
particles have blocked the drain tube. The drain
tube can be cleared with a pipe-cleaner or
similar implement.
Check that the tube is permanently placed with
its end in the collecting tray on the compressor
to prevent the water spilling on the electric
installation or on the floor (Item 6).

B) Freezer compartment
Defrosting is very straightforward and without
mess, thanks to a special defrost collection
basin.
Defrost twice a year or when a frost layer of
around 7 (1/4") mm has formed. To start the
defrosting procedure, switch off the appliance
at the socket outlet and pull out the mains plug.
All food should be wrapped in several layers of
newspaper and stored in a cool place (e.g.
fridge or larder).
Containers of warm water may be placed
carefully in the freezer to speed up the
defrosting.
Do not use pointed or sharp-edged objects,
such as knives or forks to remove the frost.
Never use hairdryers, electrical heaters or other
such electrical appliances for defrosting.
Sponge out the defrost water collected in the
bottom of the freezer compartment. After
defrosting, dry the interior thoroughly. Insert
the plug into the wall socket and switch on the
electricity supply.

Replacing the interior light bulb
Should the light fail, switch off at the socket
outlet and pull out the mains plug.
Then ensure the bulb is screwed securely in the
bulb holder. Replace the plug and switch on.
If the light still fails, obtain a replacement E14
screw-cap type 15 Watt (Max) bulb from your
local electrical store and then fit it
Carefully dispose of the burnt-out light bulb
immediately.
Cleaning and care
1. We recommend that you switch off the
appliance at the socket outlet and pull out the
mains plug before cleaning.
2. Never use any sharp instruments or abrasive
substances, soap, household cleaner, detergent
or wax polish for cleaning.
3. Use luke warm water to clean the cabinet of
the appliance and wipe it dry.
4. Use a damp cloth wrung out in a solution of
one teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda to one
pint of water to clean the interior and wipe it
dry.
5. Make sure that no water enters the
temperature control box.
6. If the appliance is not going to be used for
a long period of time, switch it off, remove all
food, clean it and leave the door ajar.
7. We recommend that you polish the metal
parts of the product (i.e. door exterior, cabinet
sides) with a silicone wax (car polish) to protect
the high quality paint finish.
8. Any dust that gathers on the condenser,
which is located at the back of the appliance,
should be removed once a year with a vacuum
cleaner.
9. Check door seals regularly to ensure they
are clean and free from food particles.
10. Never:
Clean the appliance with unsuitable material;
eg petroleum based products.
Subject it to high temperatures in any way,
Scour, rub etc., with abrasive material.

11. Removal of dairy cover and door tray :
To remove the dairy cover, first lift the cover
up by about an inch and pull it off from the side
where there is an opening on the cover.
To remove a door tray, remove all the
contents and then simply push the door tray
upwards from the base.
12. Make sure that the special plastic container
at the back of the appliance which collects
defrost water is clean at all times. If you want to
remove the tray to clean it, follow the
instructions below:
Switch off at the socket outlet and pull out the
mains plug
Gently uncrimp the stud on the compressor,
using a pair of pliers, so that the tray can be
removed
Lift it up.
Clean and wipe it dry
Reassemble, reversing the sequence and
operations

1. The operation noise can increase during the
operation.
- In order to keep the temperatures at the
adjusted temperatures, the compressor of the
appliance starts periodically. The noise
produced by the compressor becomes stronger
when it starts and a click can be heard when it
stops.
- The performance and operation features of
the appliance can change according to the
modifications of the temperature of the
ambient environment. They must be considered
as normal.
2. Noises like liquids flowing or as being
sprayed
- These noises are caused by the flow of the
refrigerant in the circuit of the appliance and
comply with the operation principle of the
appliance.
3. Other vibrations and noises.
caused by the type and the aspect of the floor
on which the appliance is placed. Make sure
that the floor does not have significant level
distortions or if it can yield to the weight of the
appliance (it is flexible).
- Another source of noise and vibrations is
represented by the objects placed on the
appliance. These objects must be removed from
the appliance.
- The bottles and the vessels placed in the
refrigerator touching each other. In such cases
move the bottles and the vessels so that there
is a small distance between them.

Dos and donts
Do - Clean and defrost your appliance regularly

vegetables and wipe off any soil.

Dont - Freeze fizzy drinks

thawed; it should be eaten within 24
hours or cooked and refrozen.

Trouble - shooting
If the appliance does not operate when
switched on, check;
That the plug is inserted properly in the socket
and that the power supply is on. (To check the
power supply to the socket, plug in another
appliance)
Whether the fuse has blown/circuit breaker
has tripped/main distribution switch has been
turned off.
Instruction for use
That the temperature control has been set
correctly.
That the new plug is wired correctly, if you
have changed the fitted, moulded plug.
If the appliance is still not operating at all after
above checks, contact the dealer from whom
you purchased the unit.
Please ensure that above checks have been
done, as a charge will be made if no fault is
