Rising Stars: For girls contemplating on trying out and/or hoping to make one of the competition teams in the future. The focus is on
working on skills to bring gymnasts to the level required for competitive teams.
Club: For gymnasts who want more than a recreational gymnastics workout, but not looking toward a competitive team experience.
FOR BOTH PROGRAMS, PARTICIPATION IS A FULL-YEAR COMMITMENT Sept. 2017-May 2018

Tryout dates: Monday June 19 and Tuesday June 20
GRADES 1-3 at 4:15-5:45pm on both dates ~ GRADES 4-8 at 6:15-7:45pm on both dates
All gymnasts must wear leotard, no jewelry ~ You must register prior to tryout date ~ Gymnasts will be informed at the end of tryout session if they have been chosen for either team
TRYOUT FEE: $25 cash, check, MC/VISA Registration deadline June 16 or when limit is reached.
If you paid the tryout fee for the Competitive Team tryout, you do not need to pay tryout fee again, but you must re-submit registration form.

Tryout Registration takes place at the Recreation Center. Coaches will be available to speak with you and answer any questions by appointment. Email
Heather at HKnoch@rvcny.us. Registration will not be taken the day of the tryout! Tryout fees are not refundable.
IMPORTANT NOTE: there is a registration limit for this tryout. Once we have reached
this limit, registration for tryouts will be closed, even if limit reached before the deadline.

I assert that my child is healthy and able to participate in the sport of gymnastics. I am/am not attaching a list of limitations or
restrictions.

The Village of Rockville Centre Recreation Dept. recognizes its obligation to make our students and their parents aware of the risks and
hazards associated with the sport of gymnastics. Students may suffer injuries, possibly minor, serious or catastrophic in nature. By its very
nature, gymnastics carries a risk of physical injury and this risk cannot be eliminated. Parents should encourage their children to follow all
the safety rules and the coaches instructions. I give permission for the RVC Recreation Dept., its coaches and other staff members to take
whatever emergency measures are judged necessary for the care and protection of my child while under its supervision. In case of a
medical emergency, I understand that my child may be treated by the local emergency resources (police, rescue squad) if deemed
necessary. I waive and release all rights and claims for damages that my child or I may have against the Village of Rockville Centre or its
representatives. With the above in mind, and being fully aware of the risks and possibility of injury involved, I consent to have my child
participate in the program offered by the Parks & Recreation Dept. I am signing this waiver of liability, consenting and releasing the Village
from all liability claims and causes of action arising out of activities at the Recreation Dept.
