Getting ready for a birthday party can unnerve even a normally well-organized parent. A
surprising number of details need to be planned. Here are some tips that will smooth the way to
your childs birthday bash.
1. The first step in planning your party is to decide on the basics.
Will the party be at home or away? If you have a small house you might want to have
the party at a facility. If you have enough room or a yard you might want to host the party
yourself. If the partys outside, have a back-up plan in case of rain.
Determine how much you can spend. Parties at pizza places, skating rinks and other
facility run from $6-$15 per person. Parties at home usually cost less.
Decide on the theme. Pick a theme and plan simple games around it.
Keep the party short. School-age parties shouldnt be more than three hours.
2. Your next set of decisions includes what food, party favors and place settings you need.
What do you need for games? What will go in the party bags? Make your first stop the
dollar store. You can often find the same items for less than you might at a party shop.
Line up entertainment or facility. Book your party well in advance if youre having it
away from home. You might get a better deal if you have the party Monday-Thursday
rather than on the weekend.
Send invitations. Give the date, time, address, directions, your phone number for
RSVPs, and if special dress or preparation is called for, the theme.
Plan plenty of short games. Have more than you think youll need in case a game goes
more quickly than you expect or flops. Have a favorite video ready for extra time.
Have extra treats. Someone unexpected might show up. People might forget to RSVP or
a sibling could tag along.
3. Now that the big day is here, there are a few tips that will make the day breeze by.
Dont worry about having a spotless house. Tidy up and save your energy for the party.
Pick up the cake early. Check that you have enough treats, plastic silverware, plates and
other items.
Be flexible. Keep a sense of humor. The point of the party is to have fun, not to have
everything perfect.
Guests might arrive early. Have a video playing or a craft set ready.
GIVE YOU OPINION ABOUT ONLINE SHOPPING
Online shopping or e-shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to
directly buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser. In the
twentieth centuries, the technology has a numerous effect on peoples lifestyle.
Online shopping is one of the advanced technologies that offer lots of advantages for people.
Purchasers make order and pay for purchase via the website after that they receive their goods by
post. Moreover, it can save their time because they do not waste time searching through in many
places to find any products. Internet has many kinds of products from every corner of the world.
They just spend time for a while accessing the website, they will find out everything that they
want. In other words, the sellers have benefit in terms of saving their expense.
But consumers are at higher risk of fraud than face-to-face transactions. Merchants also risk
fraudulent purchases using stolen credit cards. While it may be easy to compare the base price of
an item online, it may not be easy to see the total cost up front. Additional fees such as shipping
are often not be visible until the final step in the checkout process. Privacy of personal
information is a significant issue for some consumers. Many consumers wish to avoid spam and
telemarketing which could result from supplying contact information to an online merchant.
MY FAVORITE TEACHER
My favorite teacher is Mr. Ruben who had taught me Mathematic for about 3 years. He seemed
very strict when the first I met him. However, we had a lot of fun during his classes. He had
skills at teaching, sense of humor, friendly, patient and easygoing. I had had her classes when I
was in grade 4. I got good marks on it since then. He gave tons of assignments which were for
improving my skills at Math. Hes very patient and enthusiastic to teach me whenever the student
had questions in his classes. Moreover, he would stay at school after school finished for hours to
solve the problems that we had in his class. Sometimes, he would get furious though when the
students didnt hand in the assignments on time. Before I met him Math was really difficult and I
hated it so much. But because of him, I love math now. He taught like it was a fun subject and
its kind of interesting. He has the ability to make a subject that many students find incredibly
boring come to life through his enthusiasm and passion, and his love of being a teacher. He is a
very understanding teacher. He treats students like friends, understands them and solves their
problems in the best possible and easiest way. He never shouts. He always remains calm. He
gave me the confidence to realize that I could make something out of myself. He detected my
strengths and weaknesses and suggested me ways to improve and work further on my math skill.
At the end of grade 5 there was a Math competition. I was not really sure that I could win it. But
he believed in me that I could do it. He gave me a lot of practice to help me. Then, the day came
and I won. It was the first time I won a Math competition and I got the second place. From him I
got a something more than just an education things. Thats the reason why he is one of my
favorite teacher.
HOW LANDSLIDE HAPPEN
A landslide, also known as a landslip, is a geological phenomenon that includes a wide range of
ground movements, such as rock falls, deep failure of slopes and shallow debris flows.
Landslides can occur in offshore, coastal and onshore environments. Although the action
of gravity is the primary driving force for a landslide to occur, there are other contributing factors
affecting the original slope stability. Typically, pre-conditional factors build up specific sub-
surface conditions that make the area/slope prone to failure, whereas the actual landslide often
requires a trigger before being released. Landslides that occur undersea, or have impact into
water, can generate tsunamis. Massive landslides can also generate mega tsunamis, which are
usually hundreds of meters high. In 1958, one such tsunami occurred in Lituya Bay in Alaska.
Landslides are like sand sliding off a tipper truck, slopes eventually fail because they become too
steep to hold onto their load. Water can trigger landslides because its heavy and adds a lot of
extra weight to the land. The extra weight makes it more likely that slope materials (soil, rock,
etc.) will succumb to the forces of gravity. Excessive water is thought to be one of the most
common triggers for landslides.
Other factors that weaken slope materials also contribute to the occurrence of landslides. These
factors include both natural events such as geological weathering and erosion and human-related
activities such as deforestation and changes made to the flow of groundwater. Vegetation
removal after droughts, fires, and logging has been associated with an increased risk for
landslides.
