Written By

Michael Brook
SCENE 1
There are a small number of cells on-screen
NARRATOR
Healthy cells go through their
cycle and reach a point when they
will multiply, duplicating
themselves perfectly. However, some
cells will be duplicated with an
abnormality...
The cells begin to multiply, one of which has a black spot
The spot spreads until it encompasses the cell
NARRATOR
This abnormal cell will go
undetected in the body and
duplicate itself, abnormality and
all
The cancerous cell multiplies
The duplicate cells multiply until the screen is covered in
black cells

SCENE 2
NARRATOR
The cancer moves through the body
like a sludge.
The cancer sludge spreads through the body, encompassing the
healthy cells
The sludge forms a tumour
NARRATOR
The afflicted cells form a tumour
and once it is established
After a while, a cell breaks away from the tumour and flows
through the body
NARRATOR
...a number of cells break away to
find somewhere else to multiply...
SCENE 3
The new sludge spreads through the body
NARRATOR
And this cycle continues...
The sludge becomes a tumour and cells break away into the
body again

SCENE 4
NARRATOR
Until, eventually, the cells are
deprived of oxygen, enzymes digest
cell membranes and leak out, blood
cells spill out of broken vessels
and all of the organs and tissues
that house them break down
(Everything described takes place on-screen)
NARRATOR
The host is dead...
A few seconds pass
NARRATOR
...however

SCENE 5
Scene reverses to return to the beginning of the cancer
spreading
NARRATOR
If cancer is detected early,
treatment is possible
Yellow liquid gushes through the system
NARRATOR
Chemotherapy eradicates the cancer
cells...
The liquid crashes into the cancer cells and destroys them
NARRATOR
...but destroys healthy ones too,
damaging the host's body...
The chemo runs through the cancer cells and begins
destroying healthy cells
NARRATOR
...causing hair-loss, fatigue,
nausea and disorders of the blood.
The medication continues to flow through the body,
destroying in its wake
NARRATOR
Chemotherapy is powerful, but
tumours can't be fully eradicated
Liquid cascades into a tumour and erodes a small amount but
can't remove it
NARRATOR
Surgery is often necessary
A knife cuts into the tumour and separates it from the body
NARRATOR
This time, cancer has been beaten,
but it can strike at any age, at
any time...
Screen cuts to black
NARRATOR
Cancer doesn't discriminate. Early
detection is crucial.
