work well. When I boot them up this happens really quickly and I am really

desktop home screen. This will help you find documents and folders and documents really

The last modification that I made is correcting the date and time on the computer as it was
not set at the right time. As I have improved the date and time this will improve productivity

Mrs Peartree in this initial plan you wanted to me to upgrade components, fit a DVD burner. A colour printer
and scanner and you wanted me to upgrade the operating system on your technology systems. I have
managed to upgrade the RAM in your computers because your staff were complaining that it was running
slow and they were not able to open many applications.
The benefit your staff will have now that I have upgraded the RAM in your computer systems is you will be
able to run more programs on your technology system. The reason I have upgraded the RAM is before you
only had 2GB of RAM. The reason that I needed more RAM is because your computer systems were
running slow and you couldnt open many applications at the same time. This is why I had to upgrade your
RAM.
I have kept to the initial plan by upgrading the printer and scanner as this is what you asked. In your
original requirements you asked me to get you a colour printer and scanner and this is what I have done.
So in this instance I have followed the initial plan. I have also upgraded the hardrive and modified this so
the computer boots up from the hardrive this was part of the initial plan. I have installed a DVD burner
because this was under your initial requirements so that you can create your promotional DVDs to
advertise your business
Another modification that I have made in your technology system is I have corrected the date and time
because when I completed the work on your system I noticed that the date and time were out of sync so I
have modified this. This was not something you asked me to do and it was not on the initial plan. The
benefit of correcting the date and time is that you staff will be able to see what the date and time is now
and they could check the calendar to see when the deliveries are due.
Other modifications that I have made to your computer systems is I have created folder shortcuts and this
was not on the initial plan. On the desktop on your computer system there are folder shortcuts to customer
details, scanned items and there are other shortcut folders on your computer system as well. The benefit
of this is that you can quickly find details that you need therefore you dont need to look through all of your
files to find the details. The impact on this is that you can find documents easier and they will be clearly
laid out on the desktop.
The few modifications that I have made on your system is that the font it bigger on the desktop so you can
read what the folder shortcuts are. I have made the font bigger because this is an advantage for you if you
have trouble reading small fonts. The impact is that you can read the folder titles easier because I have
changed the font size. You staff will also find this easier to read on the computer system.

The modifications that I have made to your computer systems is that I have got you a garden centre
desktop background so this is user friendly. This was not included in the initially plan this is one of the
modifications that I have made. The reason I have chosen a garden centre background is this is user
friendly to your business and this is also a benefit as well to your garden centre. This is benefit because
you this will welcome to user to the computer system.
The modifications that I have made to your computer system are all for the good. I have stuck to the initial
plan but I have enhanced your computer system to make it better. The initial plan included upgrading
components, installing a DVD burner, installing a colour printer and scanner in your computer system. I
have done all of this except installing the software.
The comparisons between the initial plan and the modified plan are that I have installed all of the
components that you have asked me to install. I have upgraded the RAM and hardrive in your computer
system because this was on the initial plan I have also installed a colour printer and scanner like you
asked I have installed a DVD Burner in to the computer system as you wanted to create promotional
material for your business. The modifications that I have made changing the desktop background to a
garden centre, improving the font size on the icons, correcting the date and time and creating shortcuts. In
total I have only made small modifications but they will improve the user experience

The second improvement that I think you could make to your computer system is getting
better Fans or getting a water cooling system this will cool down your systems much
quicker. I understand that you staff have been complaining because the computer system
overheats so therefore having a better cooling system will be beneficial for your systems.
This will enhance your system because your computer wont overheat and therefore your
staff wont complain if the computer overheats it may turn of and you could smell a
burning smell.
The final improvement that you could make to your computer system is using cloud
storage in the future. Cloud storage is where your documents are stored in the cloud and
therefore they will not take up space on your hard disk drive on the system. There are
different types of cloud storage providers that you can go with. There is OneDrive, Drobox
and many more. This will enhance your computer system because you will not be taking up
space so when you need to access a document you can download it from the cloud and you
can upload documents as well to the cloud. A lot of small business use cloud storage but I
understand if you would still store you documents on the computer. In the end it is down to
personal Preference.
