basedunitItaughtonKingLearwassosuccessfulthatIwasaskedtopresentmy
approachtotheEnglishdepartment.Since,membersoftheAshburyEnglish
departmenthaveadoptedtheapproachIpioneered.

AsidefrommypassionforLanguageArts,Iamqualifiedasamusicteacher,andam
anactivemusicianinmycommunity.Infact,mymusiceducationdegreefromthe
UniversityofTorontoculminatedinpremieringapiece,PoppyNogoodandthe
PhantomBand,attheMassachusettsInstituteofTechnologyforTerryRileys80th
birthdaycelebration.DuringmyplacementwithOrkidstrainOttawa,Ihavebeen
abletoextendmypassionformusicandmusiceducationtostudentsand
membersofmycommunity.Duringthisplacement,Ihavebeenperforming
variousadministrativeduties,andassistinginthedirectionofanumberofbands,
suchastheKidPlayersBandProgramandtheKidStringersStringsProgram.
