NAME OF THE CLUB: AGRICULTURE CLUB – 2010

GOAL:

To create awareness and interest among the young and educated generation to take up agriculture as an
occupation.

Objectives:

 To impart skill and knowledge on agriculture to the students.

 To inculcate the dignity of labour among the youths.

 To create awareness among the students on the importance of agriculture.

 To motivate school youths to take up agriculture as an occupation.

 To help generate school agriculture fund by selling vegetables product.

 To develop students’ interest in the agriculture from commercial point of view.

Strategies:

 The programme will explore the possibilities of providing agriculture based education in line with
wholesome education.

 The programme in this school will have farming system of growing vegetables only.

 The agriculture activities in the school will be implemented on experimental basis and will be
supervised by FAT.

 The income generated from the sale of agricultural produce will be recorded in a stock register
and will be handed over to the SDF committee members.

 The members of agriculture club will be taken to field trip to visit some of the centres related to
farming and livestock.

 As an academic activity, quiz on agriculture will be conducted.
