Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies


Beginning the Lesson

At the beginning of the class teacher will show the students video about the UN.

3-4 - The video will contain the information about the UN and what are they doing around the
min. world. This video will review all the information student should know from the previous
classes.(The worlds problems, who is helping and how?)

- Teacher will explain to students that UN has many agencies working for them all around
the world. However, there is one well known to everybody and it is a part of the United
5min. Nations.

- Ask students to try to guess, and see if they know what you are talking about. If they
guessed, ask them what do they know?

- If not, ask the student if they ever heard about the UNESCO, and what do they know
about it if they heard?

Developing the Lesson

Ask your students to try to explain what each letter stands for. Put their answers on the
board, and compare later on with the power point answers.
15 min. By using the power point teacher will introduce to the students the UNESCO.

- The PPT will include the information about what this organization stands for-here as well
students will find here the answer about theirs letter guessing.

- The PPT will contain as well agencys role and responsibility in the United Nations.

Teacher will explain the three agency counting in UNESCO, which are United Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

- Teacher will list the responsibilities each of those agencies, and explain so the class will
understand.

After that the teacher will ask students to go back to the previous solving problems
groups (just in case the name of the students and groups will be on the board).

Closing the Lesson


Each student from the group will get a working shit with the question about the United
Nations covering the material from the last three classes.

b). Major Problems around the world that UN is helping with.
c). The UNESCO agency.

- The questions will be based on their notes, students presentations, and teacher lesson (
15min.
student may use PPT to refresh their information).

- Students will work together trying to answer for this questions. Teacher will tell students
that this is the review before next class exam.

- Students have around 10 minutes for working together. Meanwhile teacher is walking
around, helping students, answering their question.

- After the time is over, teacher will ask students if they have any question that was a
problem for them, or they do not understand? This is the time where teacher will answer
at least one question per group (4 groups).

Teacher will remind students about the test coming next class. Teacher want to give
students time so they can study and use this work sheet to review material.
Formative Assessment Differentiation
Teacher will use the working sheets in the
end of the class to check students

question. Moreover, teacher will check their
understanding by question they are going to
ask.
