THE TWO POTS

Last Saturday night, a strong typhoon swept across town.

The river swelled and the flood carried away the house that stood by the
bank. Two pots were not spared by the flood. One was made of clay while
the other was of silver. Now they were bobbing up and down in the water
while the strong current carried them and the other flotsam down the
river. My friend, the silver pot said to clay pot, I know how scared you
are. Something might bump you and you will surely break. Stay close
behind me and Ill be your shield, the silver pot said. I wont break
because Im made of silver. thank you my friend, the clay pot
answered. there is no need to stay close of you. Instead, the clay pot
moved as far away as possible from the silver pot. Why are you moving
away? the silver pot said wonderingly. Dont you want me to protect you
until after the danger is over? Thank you my friend, the clay pot said. I
know you mean well, but if i stay close to you, we bump each other and
surely Ill break into pieces The silver pot stay away was speechless. He
could do nothing but watch the clay pot stay away from him.

MAKUKULAY NA BULAKLAK
Kahapon, dumalaw sina Janet at Josie sa lola nila sa probinsya. Maganda
ang halaman ni Lola Trining. Maraming mga bulaklak may pula, dilaw, lila,
rosas at mga puting bulaklak. May mga maliliit at malalaking bulaklak.
Ang ibang halaman ay nakatanim sa lupa, ang iba naman ay sa paso.
Manguha tayo ng maliliit na bulaklak, ang sabi ni Janet. Sige. Pero
ingatan natin ang pag pitas. Baka masira ang halaman, ang sagot ni
Josie. Ilagay natin sa plorera ang mga bulaklak. Pagkatapos ay ilagay
natin sa altar, ang sabi ni Janet. ang gaganda ng mga bulaklak! Ang
babait ng mga apo ko, ang tuwang-tuwang sabi ni Lola Trining.
