Media/Resource Review Assignment

Purpose: A variety of resources, orhow tos, are available to assist therapists


with pediatric intervention planning. The purpose of this assignment is to
familiarize yourself with a variety of available media and resources related to
pediatric occupational therapy intervention. You may find one or several of the
resources presented to be beneficial to you as you begin treatment planning for
your community client assignment

Directions: Each student will review one media/resource. Please sign up on the
form titled Media/Resource Review Sign-up on Canvas under this assignment by
August 30, 2016.

1. Develop a two-page handout including the following information:


Author, publisher, cost, target population, purpose (include settings for
use), review (ease/difficulty of use) and a brief outline/description of the
medias content. [See sample on Canvas]
From the case studies listed under this assignment on Canvas: a) select an
appropriate case study, b) develop two long term goals for the client in
the case study, c) describe how you would use your media/resource to
plan an intervention session for this client, and d) identify what
therapeutic approach (from the OTPF) you will be using in the session.

2. Students will provide a brief overview (3-5 minutes) to the rest of the class
about their media/resource on September 8, 2016.
