NATURE OF SPECIMEN (HP/DEL/283/17) Gall bladder for HPE.

CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS/HISTORY Gall bladder .
GROSS EXAMINATION Received one labelled bottle containing Gall bladder
measuring 6x3x3cm. Cut section wall thickened, No
stones P/E.
MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION H&E stained sections taken from the biopsy submitted
reveals mucosal lining intact . Transmural collections of
eosinophils and lymphocytes with plasma cells. Serosa
congested with chronic inflammatory cell infiltrates.
IMPRESSION FEATURES FAVOURS OF CHRONIC CHOLECYSTITIS .
REMARKS Correlate clinically.
All biopsy specimens will be stored for Fifteen (15) days and slides for Five(5) years only from time of receipt at the
laboratory. No request, for any of the above, will not be entertained after the due date.
