Yeah, i know it’s too late, February is gone,

but i was really busy with the school and i did’n have
enough time to finish this third number in time.

Whatever...

For this number i have chosen some of the most interesting

and well-done graffiti artworks from the biggest graffiti-related
groups on deviantArt : Graffiti-kings and Global Street Art.
There will be also featured the interviews with the two founders:
Ricardo-Rick and RoosterStencil.

Another selection is related to spraycans and the art

splattered onto them.

What’s new : I want to start a project named

’GRAFFITI RULZ THE WORLD’. Maybe it sounds
a little impossible but the aim is to draw the names of
every country in the world ( official list here ) .

"Art Whino teams up with Crystal City BID and Vornado to present G-40: The Summit, a month long
exhibition and event series featuring over 500 artists from around the world."

This is my piece for G-40 ’’

Unique lettering-type and an awesome filling-in.
And that is over a high-contrasting and eye-catching background.
Impressive job.

DOUBLE INTERVIEW and MORE

Ricardo-Rick , the founder of Graffiti-Kings and RoosterStencil , the founder of GlobalStreetArt

are our guests this month. Here is the double interview and also you can see many selections from their
groups’ galleries.
Enjoy !!!

For those who don't know yet: tell us who are you and where are you from.
My name is Ricardo I am a Graffiti Artist from Marinha Grande, Portugal.
I'm the Street Art Gallery Moderator on deviantArt and Founder of Graffiti-Kings.
I’m a street artist from London, trying to improve my work and get as good as alot of the people I talk to on dA .
I also run the biggest street art group on dA called Global Street Art!

Tell us about your nicknames.

My nickname is Rick because everybody that know me calls me that.
One day MYTH22 started to call me Rick the Sick so now that is my other nickname.

Rooster is a nick name because of the red hair... But I write Heks!

When did you started doing graffiti artworks as a beginner and when did you turned pro?
I started doing graffiti sketches in 2004, I did my first graffiti on wall in 2009.
I will never turn pro because I'm not that good.
Started about 5 years ago in secondary school : we had our own little crew of about 5 of us. We bombed the school
after hours about 10 times and we’ve done a few side of the train tracks aswel. This was long before dA or even
thinking about sharing our work!

How much time takes you to do a paper sketch? What about a stencil, a digital graffiti or/and piece on a wall?
A sketch takes me about 1 hour maybe 2 hours depending on sketch, if the sketch is full color, have character, etc...
On the wall I have done my first in 4 or 5 hours.
For something standard 30 mins if youre gunna do something good on a wall or something a few hours!

Once and for all: what markers, pencils and spraycans do you use to bring life in your astonishing artworks?
Any kind of pencils and pens, Uni Posca and Stabilo paint markers.
The spraycans I use are MTN Hardcore and MTN 94.
I’ve used alot of molotow in the past but now ive started using Monster Colours!

Tell us about your crews and your best friends.

I'm not in any crew and I don't have friends that do graffiti, but I can say that deviantArt is my crew where I have my
friends who do graffiti like me.
NSK/NSM Lose Ask One Rumor !

What is your motivation in doing graffiti? Is there any connection with the music you listen to, your family or
your education?
Graffiti have no connection with the music I listen to, my family or my education. My motivation to keep doing
graffiti is trying to improve my style and technique.
Just enjoy the art and girls seem to love it!
What would you have done if you hadn't been started drawing graffiti? (and hadn't been interested in this type
of modern art?)
I don't know, maybe playing more video games or drawing something that normal people call art.
Probably drawing cartoons that something else I do when I’m bored!

Tell us who are your favourite graffiti artist? (their deviantArt name if they have a profile)
My favorite graffiti artists are Nash, Does, Augor, Mr.Cartoon, Can2, Daim, Dare, Atom, and many more from MTN
crew and Ironlak crew.
From deviantArt my favorite graffiti artists are Saim, Peak, CStyle, Sektr, Setik, Comod, Tufer, Nerkin, Cute, Shyne1,
Myth, Cold7, Sevas and many more.
There is just so many to pick one from on dA So im going with Banksy who got me to start street art, haha!

What is your opinion about the culture in which we are involved?

Street Art is awesome there are so many styles and techniques, so many people do it and they are really great on it.
I think its still quite underrated I think we all need to meet, take over a city and fill it with colour!!

RISING
Wisdom96

’’I write WISDOM, I’m am 13 years old and from Birmingham, England.
I have lived here all my life and have been writing graffiti for about 7 and a half months. I enjoy art, playing

football, playing with fire, playing PS3 and fliting with girls. ’’
’’I think graffiti culture is looked down upon in a very bad way.
People associate it with gangs and stuff but for me graffiti is to get away from all that and
it makes walls look better. I know tags aren't that attractive to look at from an
outsiders point of view but when you see a really dope throwie

or a kickass piece I just think, WOW.’’
