What's Wrong With Islam/Muslims?

[This blog post has received

4537 views since it was published four years ago. Since then,
links have been broken by web site changes and new resources
have been found. This post was therefore supplanted by a new
page, but it continues to get the hits while the new page does
not. I have therefore updated this post, repairing broken links
and adding a few, notably to Ibn Sad's Sira and The Sealed
Nectar to make more detailed information available to the
reader. ]
[Update commenced 03/28/'17: several external links have been
broken by site changes. I am therefore replacing links to defunct
hadith sites with direct links to texts in the Internet Archive. I am
also adding accessory links in case of new breaks and to make
more information available.

Mercenary Mission
Islam was contrived for the purpose of its founder's personal
emolument & empowerment through accrual of spoils & dominion
through perpetual war. Three ayat in Surah Al-Anfal make this matter
crystal clear. Four ahadith confirm it beyond all doubt. [Emphasis added
for clarity.]
8:1. They ask you (O Muhammad ) about the spoils of war. Say:
"The spoils are for Allh and the Messenger." So fear Allh and
adjust all matters of difference among you, and obey Allh and His
Messenger (Muhammad ), if you are believers. Alternative Links

The spoils are for Allah and Moe; how many stolen sheep, camels &
dates can an impotent stone idol eat? How many captured women can it
rape?
8:41. And know that whatever of war-booty that you may gain,
 verily one-fifth (1/5th) of it is assigned to Allh, and to the
Messenger, and to the near relatives [of the Messenger
(Muhammad )], (and also) the orphans, Al-Maskin (the poor) and
the wayfarer, if you have believed in Allh and in that which We
sent down to Our slave (Muhammad ) on the Day of criterion
(between right and wrong), the Day when the two forces met (the
battle of Badr) - And Allh is Able to do all things. Alternative

8:67. It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war

(and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter
(among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world
(i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allh desires
(for you) the Hereafter. And Allh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

One ahadith omitted from Khan's translation of Sahih Bukhari speaks
volumes about Moe's arrogance & avarice, I quote from Aisha Bewley's
translation.
Bukhari Ch 61 # 2756: ...It is mentioned from Ibn 'Umar from the
Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "My provision
has been placed under the shadow of my spear, and abasement and
humility have been placed on the one who disobeys my command.
This saying was Bowdlerized out of the book upon which the USC-
MSA hadith database was based. CMJE no longer links to it and the
link at Quran explorer also fails. This is page 108 of Volume 4 of
Hilali's translation. Take a close look at the hadith and the first footnote
at the bottom of the page .
Update: since writing this post I have discovered an interesting page in
Ibn Khaldun's Muquaddimah wherein he describes Arab culture as
 "Savage" and tells us that Arabs got their sustenance by plunder. I have
highlighted the pertinent paragraphs for clarity. Compare these pages
and observe the pattern they form. Arabs found their sustenance under
the shadow of their lances; Moe found his provision under the shade of
his spear. Got a clue yet?
Sahih Bukhari Vol. 4 pg. 108 Muquaddimah pg.199

Moe got his income with his spear: by raiding camel caravans and
Jewish settlements. Later we will see Moe's 'command' and the threat he
made in conjunction with it. Allah gave Moe a special privilege not
given to anyone else: accrual of spoils.
3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me yet it was not
lawful for anyone else before me. [Sahih Bukhari 1.7.331]

Allah was very generous: he gave Moe the keys to the treasures of the
world and he made Moe wealthy through conquests.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent with the shortest
expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made
victorious with terror (cast in the hearts of the enemy), and while I
was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought
to me and put in my hand." Abu Huraira added: Allah's Apostle
has left the world and now you, people, are bringing out those
treasures (i.e. the Prophet did not benefit by them).

Whenever a dead man in debt was brought to Allah's Apostle he
would ask, "Has he left anything to repay his debt?" If he was
informed that he had left something to repay his debts, he would
offer his funeral prayer, otherwise he would tell the Muslims to offer
their friend's funeral prayer. When Allah made the Prophet
wealthy through conquests, he said, "I am more rightful than other
believers to be the guardian of the believers, so if a Muslim dies
while in debt, I am responsible for the repayment of his debt, and
whoever leaves wealth (after his death) it will belong to his heirs. "

Violence

Islam is aggressively violent, by design; irreparably. I quote

Islamic law.
As for subsequent times, there are two possible states in
respect to non-Muslims.The first is when they are in their
own countries, in which case jihad (def: o9.8) is a
communal obligation, and this is what our author is
speaking of when he says, Jihad is a communal
obligation, meaning upon the Muslims each year.[Reliance

In 1786 Jefferson and John Adams went to negotiate with
Tripolis envoy to London, Ambassador Sidi Haji
Abdrahaman or (Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). They asked
him by what right he extorted money and took slaves.
Jefferson reported to Secretary of State John Jay, and to
the Congress:
The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded
on the Laws of the Prophet (Mohammed), that it was
written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have
answered their authority were sinners, that it was their
right and duty to make war upon them wherever they
could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take
as prisoners, and that every Mussulman (or Muslim) who
should be slain in battle was sure to go to heaven. [3]

8:39. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief
and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allh) and
the religion (worship) will all be for Allh Alone [in the whole
of the world ].

Caliph Umars general told the Persians:
Our Prophet, the Messenger of our Lord, has ordered us to

Terrorism
Allah said that he would cast terror & did cast terror. Allah
commanded Moe to treat victims harshly so as to terrorize other
prospective victims and build up military strength to threaten and terrify
them. Allah said that the local Jews were more afraid of Moe and his
army than of himself. Moe said that he was made victorious with
terror. Allah, ever generous to his slaves, guarantees them extra credit
towards an upgrade in his Celestial Bordello for any step taken to injure

Whats Wrong With Muslims?

If they believe and are faithful, they obey Allahs
commands by joining the Jihad, striving hard
with their lives and their wealth. If not called to
fight, they support Jihad with Zakat. How did the
Holy Land Foundation raise $13M for Hamas?
8:2. The believers are only those who, when
Allh is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and
when His Verses (this Qurn) are recited unto
them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith;
and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone);

To over simplify a little, Muslims go to:

What's your preference: spending half the day copulating with two
beautiful virgins who grow new hymens and up to 70 Jewish and
Chistian women "taken from the fire" or having your hide burned off
and replaced, drinking boiling water and eating poisonus nettles? So
you'd rather go to Jihad than sit at home then.

Allah's threat

9:38. O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when
you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allh (i.e. Jihd) you
cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world
rather than the Hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of
this world as compared with the Hereafter.

9:39. If you march not forth, He will punish you with a

painful torment and will replace you by another people, and
you cannot harm Him at all, and Allh is Able to do all things.
Sunan Abu Dawud Book 14, Number 2497:
Narrated AbuUmamah:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: He who does not join the

warlike expedition (jihad), or equip, or looks well after a warrior's
family when he is away, will be smitten by Allah with a sudden
calamity. Yazid ibn Abdu Rabbihi said in his tradition: 'before the
Day of Resurrection".
Allah's Promise
61:12. (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you
into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in
Gardens of 'Adn Eternity ['Adn (Edn) Paradise], that is indeed the

2787. Narrated AbU Hurairah I

heard Allah's Messenger jW, saying, "The
example of a Mujahid in Allah's Cause - and
Allah knows better who really strives in His
Cause - is like a person who observes Saum
(fast) and offers Salat (prayer) continuously.
Allah guarantees that He will admit the
Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is
killed, otherwise He will return him to his
home safely with rewards and war booty."
Jihad will never wnd while Muslims continue to believe in Allah,. his
threat and promise!

Objections:
I have Muslim friends; nice people, well behaved.
Muslims are explicitly commanded, in several ayat, not

to befriend Kuffar. I will cite one of them.

60:1. O you who believe! Take not My enemies and
your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists, etc.) as
friends, showing affection towards them, while they have
disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth (i.e.
Islmic Monotheism, this Qurn, and Muhammad ), and
have driven out the Messenger (Muhammad ) and
yourselves (from your homeland) because you believe in
Allh your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My
Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not
these disbelievers and polytheists, etc., as your friends).
You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-
 Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal.
And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed
he has gone (far) astray, (away) from the Straight Path .
Most Muslims dont engage in Jihad.
Yet. They havent been called by their Imam or Mullah.
The Ummah is large and the battlefronts are relatively
small. Once a sufficient number have answered the call,
the rest are relieved unless an emergency occurs.
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number
311:
Narrated Ibn Abbas:

The Prophet said, on the day of the Conquest of

Mecca, There is no migration (after the Conquest),
but Jihad and good intentions, andwhen you
are called for Jihad, you should immediately respond
to the call.

Narrated AbuUmamah:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: He who

Jihad is the Muslim's struggle against his ego and
temptations.

and jihad will be performed continuously since the
day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the
last member of my community will fight with the
Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the
justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must
have faith in Divine decree.

you, and will not withdraw it until you return to

Clear as mud, ain't it? Read it again a few times, then read page 18 of
The Book Of Jihad, which brings the fiqh of Jihad together in one handy
volume of less than 190 pages. Pay particular attention to the fatwa of
Imam al-Shafi'i!

These books are more adjuncts to Reliance than substitutes for it.
Download and save them for future reference.
Risala is the fiqh of the Maliki school of Islamic law. Best
printed and scanned, it is also brief and easy to read. Jihad is
covered in Chapter 30.
Hedaya is the fiqh of the Hanafi school of Islamic law. Poorly
printed & scanned with an archaic font and arcane vocabulary,
it is turgid and difficult reading but the section on Jihad
beginning on page 139 of the second volume, is absolutely
vital to understanding Islam!
o Hedaya and Risala do not explicitly define Jihad. The Book Of Jihad
defines it on pages 8&9. A Summary Of Islamic Jurisprudence
defines Jihad on page 472. The Qur'an does not explicitly define Jihad,
but Hilali & Khan defined it in terms of a cost/benefit analysis in a
footnote to 2.190 on page 39. A similar definition is included in a
footnote on page 1534 of Sahih Bukhari. Compare the glossary entry on
page 3700 of Sahih Muslim to the definition of Maghazi on pg 3710:
no holy war, but holy battle? !

#2532 is regarded as daef [weak].
 #24384 is regarded as sahih [authentic].
Both contain the element of continuous Jihad.

Tafsir al-Jalalayn: less detailed than Tafsir Ibn Kathir, brief and easy to
read; authentic explanation of verses. Other tafsirs and translations

Maududi's Tafheem: loquacious exegesis by a "radical" Muslim. Not my
first choice; sometimes quoted by Robert Spencer.

Sahih Bukhari Single volume 9 volumes in one large pdf file >4000
pages. I use it for ease of searching. This is considered to be the most
authentic of the six canonical hadith collections. Loading time will
